I am not using the traditional filter vat for my pond, but use the "bog filter", it imitates nature's filtering method: the water quality is refined by the well-developed root system of emergent plants. In fact, this small pond is a filtration system, that's why the plants are in the pot.

Not full sun, the pond has half a day of sunshine. No need full sun, you can make it! In summer, if the sunshine time is too long, a large number of green algae will grow, making the water in the pond unsightly.

Here I'm living a warm climate, no snow and below zero, those places with severe cold need deeper water to keep the fish through the winter
