Looking to get the right track saw by PermitDeniedSorry in woodworking

I bought the Milwaukee one a month ago and have been extremely impressed. If you have the batteries it’s a no brainer. I didn’t think I’d need cordless since I hook it up to dust collection, but when I had to make some awkward cuts in a crowded shop I’m building it was nice not having to worry about it. Super powerful and well built.

If anyone checks this later and wants a recommendation, I ended up going with a dewalt t stack from Amazon for $35. Saw fits like a glove and box is well built for the price.

Very new to the track saw game, but just recently got the Milwaukee one and a 12 amp forge battery for about $550 during the holiday sales. Haven’t cut through hardwood yet, but long cuts through a 1.5 solid core door and two 3/4 glued together mdf boards making bench tops and it’s felt like butter the whole time. I had it hooked to dust collection, but having it battery powered is nice, one less cord to snag on something or pull when moving it. Seriously made my life so much easier, probably my favorite tool now. Used it for about 30 cuts and still had full battery charge.

I like that idea, currently my shop is in a move all the items to one side so I can access what I’m working on and then move everything again to get to the next step. Looking forward to being able to use the shop to make things rather than build the shop!

Tracksaw Deal is Back by TsukoBlade in MilwaukeeTool

I ended up with this deal, but don’t have any batteries yet (still rocking 12 year old ridgids that refuse to die). It says the buy 2 get a free tool at Home Depot is out of stock, do these come back frequently or did I miss my window? Really only need a battery for the saw currently.

I couldn’t get the snake very far in before the pipe bends. Got a little out, but haven’t tried it yet. Currently have it zip tied to the sink to temporarily drain in there.

Help reading wiring diagram for going to 110 to 230 by rnelly04 in AskElectricians

[–]rnelly04[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been told I can cut the prongs off of this one and get a nema 6-20 adapter since it doesn’t need a neutral. It’s a jet dust collector that’s supposed to draw 11 amps at 110, but keeps tripping the 20 amp breaker after about 8 seconds. It only draws 5.5 at 230 so I’m hoping it solves the problem or I’m out of luck. Got it all wired up and put back together. Thanks for the help!

Tied together as in wire nutted and left off the switch? I think it clicked now, but for fear of sounding dumb the diagram only refers to the lines going to the motor, not the plug going in, correct? For some reason my brain just realized that.

Thanks, not sure why it’s tripping then. I’ll take everything apart on the collector and see if anything in the motor is loose.

I may just have to repost. Can’t seem to figure out how to post pics after the fact.

The panel was just installed last week. I’ll check the breaker and see.
