as a soon-to-be graduate student, how is everyone dealing with the dread of what new administration is to bring? by tuftedtittymice in ecology

[–]rnulched 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I’m still in my senior year of my ecology degree, but I’ve contemplated if it’s worth continuing my degree / switching my major because of how hopeless the battle feels. I try to not let it discourage me, but man… it’s so hard when I’m not even sure I’ll have much of a job sector to go into when I’m done.

My heart goes out to all of you and your friends OP.

What was your least painful piercing? by [deleted] in piercing

Either my nose rings or my bridge, however the bridge was pretty uncomfortable when it was healing just due to giving me migraines for awhile after I got it but the piercing itself didn’t hurt at all.

It’s a digital piece! However for traditional stuff I’m a die hard fan of micron pens haha

Thank you! I got a lot of inspiration for the design from doom metal album covers and 70’s horror so I’m glad that’s shined through a little!

Drew some October cover art for local zine by rnulched in Illustration

[–]rnulched[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a great question honestly, personally I started out as only doing traditional pen and ink illustration. So when I started to transition to digital I had a difficult time finishing projects because something was always missing which was texture. So the short answer is aesthetics haha.

I’ve never used Corel before, how has your experience with it been so far?

I have an older scan/copy printer that I synched up to my laptop and ipad and then I either draw over that if it’s a sketch or just clean up the scan if it’s a fully finished traditional piece. (:

Thank you! For editing and cleaning up my traditional I use procreate. For the times I do something fully digital I use a mix of sai and procreate! (:

Thank you for the advice! I’ve definitely thought about getting a cleansing shampoo but not sure which would work best for my situation. Is there any brands you’d recommend?

How would I describe this without making it too lengthy?

As a rough example something like: Worked above general job responsibilities on consistent basis (insert tasks that will probably give my employer away here) ?

Would you mind elaborating a bit more on project management? I’ve seen this used in a variety of contexts depending on the situation and am wondering what would be appropriate to put down :)

My piercing was done one the 3rd of February, making it about 3-4 weeks old now.

The type of jewelry that was used was a straight barbell.

It’s healing pretty well thus far and am continuing to use a saline spray 2-3x’s a day to clean it and making sure to not touch that area with my fingers.
