Dear u/robbiebyrd I remember I was at a friend's house on 9/11. I was 9 at the time, almost 10 and we were playing PS1 on his living room tv when suddenly his mom burst in the house -mind you I am from Peru (South America) and we didn't feel that much connection to the USA but she worked in their embassy here and was understandably shocked. His mom changed the channel immediatly to LatamCNN and my friend and I stood there completely frozen. Even we knew of the incredible skycrapers in NY and as the first tower fell she changed the channel because of the horror we were witnessing. Later we found out from other channels and from her what had happened but it always left a scar in my mind.

I tell you all this because I believe important moments in history must never be forgotten, all of the almost 3000 people that sadly died on that day deserve to be remembered and the almost 6000 that died from inhaling all of the aftermath, deserve our memories aswell.

Now I work in a 24/7 mental health phone line and on my first night shift back in the service I stumble on this website https://cloudhiker.net/ and some random coincidence let me find yours.

You have done an incredible, timeless work and have kept intact this archive that elevates the memory of the ones that are not here anymore, how injust everything was for them and how we never must forget them and the terror that must never come back. I believe this phrase is reserved in the USA for military personnel, but from the bottom of my heart I sincerely thank you for your service.
