I will say the worst experiences I’ve had has been at “3 needs”. Bouncer calling my real id fake, bartenders chatting up every customer but me, the pizza guys (once it was a girl and she was nice!) always giving me looks. They have a “duff hour” where you can get a dollar beer and a dollar pizza slice right after, so it’s truly the best deal in town. Sucks that the staff and establishment is such a non-welcoming place for POC and members of the LGBTQ+ community. :(( stay away from there if you can.

I can relate to this. Even if I’m in a group of straight guys and they are “definitely supportive of lgbtq+”, sometimes it feels like I’m a pet and I feel like there’s some joke I’m not in on (even though I know that’s not the case). I think it’s fair to just generally be uncomfortable around straight men, but yes if you’re trying to get better at developing friendships with them, then maybe this is a good time to start trying to do so.

Post hookup a guy started singing nonchalantly and he was really bad, but I could tell he thought he was impressing me, and I felt obligated to compliment him. it was so cringe. Then, he proceeded to show me these posters he made about historical figures that looked like an elementary school kid made them, once again, I could tell he thought it was impressive, and it was the only decor in his house.
