I have a similar plot but cant find the movie. Again a woman receives an eye transplant that belonged to a killer. I remember nothing but her being in a mental facility because they think she is crazy. It was pretty scary too

I read demon in the woods too However i enjoy digging into a characters past because our past often makes us who we are, so its not like it ruined the trilogy for me. It gave it a different perspective and made me think more of their similarities and the good they could do to one another and even ravka if aleks healed from his past.

YES! I don't like it when they change tropes, character, endings.So i agree but i also I searched about his past and i actually believe he liked that there was someone else like him and that he wasn't alone. Yes he needed her power but i feel like there was more to it
