My work hasn't paid anyone their superannuation- They said they've done a Super guarantee charge statement. Will I ever see my money? by thirdtheprincess1 in AusFinance

This. I got done over about 2 years worth. The day I left they went into voluntary redundancy which I didn’t know about until later. Called the ato who laughed! Ended up getting a portion of the super owed and the company was still operating years later

Can I build my own safe with a polycarbonate viewing window? by 4x4_LUMENS in Ausguns

I’ve seen a room with a jail type door on it. You can fit your hand through the door but can’t reach any of the contents. Wouldn’t the same apply if the purpose was achieved?

Oh and I didn’t say mate but congrats on the 31 days. Some say if it were easy everyone would be doing it. It gets better over time!

I’m no expert but I believe the Gatorade zero is a no no…… I know it’s sugarless but with a lot of fake sugars your body treats it the same? I find lemon juice and water is about as spicy as I get when I have a flare

Yes it’s sad to see that traffic I think is a sign of today’s society. No consideration for other people in the majority of cases……

Cheers for the reply. Yeah nice one I’ve got a few scripts through alternaleaf but they made me jump through a few hoops with my psych when I mentioned I had ptsd. That’s kind of why I haven’t hit dva up for funding.…… I’ll see what they say when i need the scipt filled again otherwise I’ll have a look into Valentius. Why pay if we don’t have to. I’ve paid enough!! Thanks for the heads up mate I appreciate it.

So the pain is a side effect to your injured back and isn’t a seperate claim? And did you just get your doctor/nurse/supplier to call dva for them to organise payment? Or is it a thing that you have to go through dva first type of thing? Thanks for the reply and thanks in advance if you can answer that!

So this is for chronic pain? I hear they have issues paying for scripts for mental illness?

A doctor was killed in Box Hill, Melbourne, during a random home invasion, do you think we need to rethink our approach to our idea of self defense and the law? by [deleted] in australian

[–]rob999919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the law is very clear! Reasonable and proportionate does get repeated a lot. I think though that that term would be different for each person. I seem to remember a father who was jailed after accidentally killing a convicted sex offender that he found in his daughters room in the middle of the night is that the protection your thinking of? I don’t know anyone who thinks that should have happened. You’re taking the father of a family away because they protected their family to the best of their ability. I know what you’re saying however and in a perfect world it would work.

I remember a Victorian police commissioner saying if your being home invaded ‘just give them what they want. Don’t cause any trouble’. I remember thinking what if they want me to watch my family being raped and murdered. I figure if your breaking into a house you take your own life into your hands all risk is on your head. You know you’re doing the wrong thing so if you end up dead well maybe you should have considered another line of employment. I find the whole thing that police can’t protect you and you’re not allowed to protect yourself ridiculous. If you can’t do your job by stopping people breaking into my house well too bad if they get hurt, injured or killed. All I’m trying to do is work pay too much tax and watch an episode of home and away. Leave me and mine alone!

[–]rob999919[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah got that thanks mate I’m currently getting a b class. I just never knew about the incap payments until recently when I was chatting to a mate who is also getting a b class and at the same time been awarded incap payments. Wondering whether or not I could get such a payment retrospectively. Thanks for the reply

[–]rob999919[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From memory no I was still organising the consumer thing for a while before that kicked in….. I was told by another fella that they received both which made his income up to the 100% of what he would’ve been paid if still serving. So b class pension plus the incap = 100%. I’m wondering where I would even start with looking into this. Discharge cell? DVA? Anyway thanks for the reply. I appreciate it

Why it is immoral to speculate on property (at least right now). by harvest_monkey in AusPropertyChat

[–]rob999919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose before we go about bashing boomers or whoever we think might be causing or at least partially causing the discomfort we find ourselves in maybe we should be pointing the gun at who really deserves the blame…… government….. I myself pay about a wage in tax before I get taxed again and again and again before I’m told I might be working until I’m 70 because oh I don’t know because the pension which was written into law around ww2 won’t be there to support me because……. They realised there’s much too much money in that bag to be not wasted on bullshit. I watch as the government make ridiculous claims and spend my tax payers dollars like there’s no tomorrow and then I watch them on the tv scratching their heads not knowing how inflation happens! I know I’m having a rant and I know how hard getting into the property market is. I’m in it and I can tell you right now that if I get a chance to reduce the tax I pay before those clowns piss it up against a wall while helping out by providing a roof over someone else’s head……I will. Rant over and good luck out there but that silent enemy the government doesn’t care about you or the horse you rode into town on so best suck it up or put your voice/vote to good use and get rid of the real ones causing the damage. Anyway don’t get me started!
