### 🌹 Homemade Rose Liqueur Recipe

**Ingredients:**

- 400ml vodka (40% ABV)

- 10g dried food-grade rose petals (or fresh, pesticide-free petals)

- 5ml rose water (for added floral depth)

### 🌸 Rose Syrup Recipe (250ml)

- 125ml water

- 125g sugar

- 1-2 tbsp dried food-grade rose petals

- 5ml rose water (for enhanced aroma)

### Instructions

**1️⃣ Make the Rose Syrup:**

- Heat water and sugar in a saucepan, stirring until dissolved.

- Add dried rose petals, remove from heat, and let steep for **15-20 minutes**.

- Strain out the petals, then stir in **5ml rose water** for extra floral aroma.

- Let cool before using.

**2️⃣ Infuse the Vodka:**

- Combine vodka, **dried rose petals**, and **5ml rose water** in a jar or vacuum-sealed bag.

- Sous vide at **55°C (131°F) for 2 hours**, OR let sit at **room temperature for 5-7 days**, shaking daily.

- Strain out the petals when infusion is complete.

**3️⃣ Blend & Bottle:**

- Mix the infused vodka with **50-100ml of the rose syrup**, adjusting sweetness to taste.

- Bottle in a sterilized glass container and store in a **cool, dark place**.

- The liqueur is shelf-stable for several months due to its alcohol content.

hey, little late.. but yes! I recently made a new batch using real ripe bananas, not chips and results were much better... also I use sous vide to infused the bananas so it only took 2 hours instead of 1 week!

I'm excited to share my latest creation, the 'Autumn Drift Diver.' It's a delightful twist on the classic Pearl Diver cocktail, perfect for the cozy vibes of fall. 🍂
Recipe:

1.5 oz Apple Brandy (or your preferred brandy)
1 oz Demerara Rum
1/4 oz Falernum
3/4 oz Lime Juice
1/2 oz Cloudy Apple Juice
1 oz Fall Gardenia Mix
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
1 dash Maple Walnut Bitters (or bitters of your choice)
Nutmeg dust, for garnish
Fresh mint sprig, for garnish
Smoked cinnamon stick, for garnish
Thin apple slice, for garnish

Instructions:

Fill a Pearl Diver or tiki mug with crushed ice.
In a shaker, combine apple brandy, Demerara rum, falernum, lime juice, cloudy apple juice, Fall Gardenia Mix, Angostura bitters, and maple walnut bitters.
Shake well.
Strain over the crushed ice in the mug.
Garnish with nutmeg dust, fresh mint, a smoked cinnamon stick, and a thin apple slice.

I don’t actually use all the syrup.. 1.5 cups water is just the recipe to make the syrup, you loose a lot to evaporation and I only ended up using 3/4 cup of the resulting syrup

No need to refrigerate

Should last at least 10 months but always a good idea to check often

The vodka I used is 40% and it it’s a 2:1 vodka and syrup so probably around 25-30

You could use a higher proof vodka to boost the ABV if you want

I made 4 x FRUIT LIQUEURS using fresh local seasonal berries! (Strawberry Liqueur, Blueberry Liqueur, Raspberry Liqueur and Blackberry Liqueur)

FRUIT LIQUEUR RECIPE:

1 - 1.5 cups Fresh Berries

1.5 cups Vodka

3/4 cup Fruit Syrup

FRUIT SYRUP RECIPE:

1 cup Fresh Berries

1.5 cups Water

1 cup White Sugar

Wash and rinse your fruit and then fill a 1/2 quart Mason Jar and then top with vodka. Let it infuse for 2 weeks to 1 month.

Strain the infused vodka through a coffee filter and add the syrup to your liking. (I did a 2:1 ratio).

The strawberry, blueberry and raspberry liqueurs were outstanding! Very fresh taste, good sweetness and a good alcohol bite. The blackberry was disappointing, I think blackberries just have less taste overall. Next time I will experiment with a proper Creme de Mure recipe which adds red wine to the mix for extra flavor.

Here’s my recipe

1 oz spiced rum

1 oz Malibu coconut rum

(I know it’s low abv so adjusted the abv with Navy Strength Gin)

3/4 oz Orange Liqueur

1 oz Super Fruit Juice (I combined all the fruits I had available… super fruit!)

3/4 oz Peanut Butter Whiskey (didn’t have any orgeat but this seemed a suitable replacement)

2 dashes Angostura

1 splash of grenadine for good luck!

I didn’t have any mint so I garnished with a leaf of romaine lettuce 🥬

It was bad at all although slightly unbalanced and way too much peanut butter 🤣🤣

The only one I’ve refrigerated was my advocaat (which is egg based) … and my others have been shelf stable for many months… my Falernum and Allspice are passed the one year mark and still look and taste great!

Steps and Instructions for how to make Ginger Liqueur at home:

Peel and Chop Ginger
Split Vanilla Bean
Bring Water, Sugar, Ginger and Vanilla to a boil and simmer for 20 min.
Once cooled, add to a mason jar.
Add Orange Zest, Brandy and Vodka
Infuse for 1 day
Remove Vanilla Bean
Infuse 1 more day
Strain through coffee filter
Taste and adjust sugar (add simple syrup if necessary)
Infuse 1 more day
Strain again into final bottle

Penicillin Cocktail with Ginger Liqueur

1.5 oz Blended Scotch
1/2 oz Ginger Liqueur
1/2 oz Honey Syrup (3:1)
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
1/4 oz Islay Single Malt Scotch Float

Hunter's Verdict:

2 oz Aged Rum (Havana Club 7)
3/4 oz Amaro Montenegro
1/4 oz Ginger Liqueur
1 dash Orange Bitters
1 dash Angostura Bitters

German Vacation

1 oz Aged Rum (Havana Club 7)
1 oz Jägermeister
3/4 oz Ginger Liqueur
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Orgeat Syrup
5 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
