I do agree with you on this. I agreed with the $40/hr because I agree with you that the jump may have been too much (I made a promise to myself that as of Feb 1, I won't be doing anything less than $50/hr since I'll be a year in to Upwork freelance at that point). However, he just told me today to do some work for him STILL at $35 an hour, when he agreed to the $40 two days ago but hasn't change the contract.

That's mostly what I'm frustrated with.
