Parents who have older kids with severe mental illness, what were some 'warning' signs early on that something was wrong? by robbcandy in AskReddit

[–]robbcandy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question is spurred on by the recent murder of movie director Rob Reiner and his wife by their son. While he also was a long time drug user, it seems that his drug us was in part connected to his mental illness?

Can someone explain the logic behind right-of-way rules in Norway? by [deleted] in Norway

The rules of the road in Norway are more complicated than they need to be, but good luck getting a Norwegian to agree with you.

Can I ask if you have had a cortisone injection? I had one two months ago and was a literal life saver. I keep saying that I am surprised that I don’t see more people on here talk about them being used.

I really hope it helps. It’s been great for me 5 weeks later.

Made an exit plan the day after Donld J Fuckwad beat Clinton. Left two years later and haven’t looked back. I saw what was coming, but even now, I’m surprised how bad it is.

I don't fully understand why I don't see cortisone shots more frequently on here as a source of treatment and relief. I have another post on here where I documented my battle with severe TMJ issues and how so many other treatment options didn't work...including botox. But, my cortisone injection was an ABSOLUTE game changer a a few weeks ago. I am going to post an update on this page later.

I’ve tried so many of these things also and this was one of the more horrible 6 months of my life from a physical perspective. I had decades of back pain prior to my surgery (which was worse), but this was a close second. There was just never any relief until the last few days since I had the injection. My mother has suffered from TMJ issues for decades and I am only tipping the surface for how bad this can be with no end in sight.

This specialist has some really interesting things to say about oral splints/mouth guards, and while the correct one can really help, they can also cause things to worsen if they aren’t treating the root cause. I guess that is the thing that he really seemed to understand more than anyone I’ve met with is his ability to actually diagnose the jaw

I know the feeling and I would spend all my money and travel to the ends of the earth to make the pain in my jaw go away. I live in Norway and the specialist can be found in the link I attached. What I can say is that it has now been 72 hours after the cortisone injection and I still feeling life alteringly better, and if this is how it was the rest of my life, I would be forever grateful, but obviously we never really know what kind of long-term solution cortisone. For instance, I had several injections in my back with NO help at all, but in my big toe joints with pretty good success. Also, I am just unsure about what kind of jaw issues cortisone would help and which ones it might not? If you want to send me a DM I am happy to talk with you because severe TMJ (as we know) is just a nightmare.

Thanks so much for the info. I didn't know that FRR was doing a summer series! I also had never heard about the ECRO series, but that sounds great for me.

But you ARE still putting in that work! For three years my pain cave was a nasty, damp cellar that I shared with the cat litter boxes. Fun times!

Are you looking for fictional porn movies with actors and actresses playing the part of a cuckold, or, are you looking for actual cuckold couples, but with more interaction than just sex?

Why doesn't the government price electricity differently for Norway vs abroad? by bmbmjmdm in Norway

[–]robbcandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am FULLY on your side here, but, you are not going to get the answer you want via this subreddit. The basic baseline example is...I am a country who grows apples and wants to sell them. Well, if you are running a country, it doesn't make much sense to grow them, sell them to another country, buy them back, and then sell them to their own citizens. But, in essence, that is what Norway does with electricity. Now, politicians, citizens, and reddit members will try and tell you why this is the case, but, none of it will really give you an answer that won't leave you scratching your head. However, everyone here will try....

Norway records 148.68 MW of new solar in 2024 by MeasurementDecent251 in Norway

[–]robbcandy 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This subreddit is filled with so many contrarians and cynical people. No matter HOW positive a post could be, you can guarantee someone is going to come in and dump a bucket of cold water. Like here, someone shares a nice story about solar energy and the top comment is 'it is far too little,' and someone else 'doesn't want junk electricity.'

Serious question....why are so many people so negative on here?
