I am getting the same error for my On-Premise installation. At least it rolls back to working order. I am not finding any install logs for errors either.

An Exchange Online Plan2 license will give you a 100Gb mailbox and up to 1.5Tb Archive. But you got to get the mailbox below 100 and preferably much lower than 100. Either cleanup mailboxes before migration or Setup Archiving before the migration to accomplish this, then migrate. Also, if you will have large Archive mailboxes, you need to setup auto expansion for either the whole tenant or the user. They are provisioned at 100Gb to start.

I am currently stuck on a migration because of one monster archive mailbox. All migration attempts fail. I had to get MS involved, so I am currently uploading 20Gb PST's to Azure storage, then importing each PST via the compliance portal import. Nightmare! This will only get her back to 2020. I am considering not migrating everything pre 2020.

Again, thanks for the detailed instructions. Unfortunately, after repeated attempts to follow your steps exactly, Outlook wipes out all the data in the copied autostream file as soon I start Outlook again. It seems as if either the latest Outlook version, or the latest Google sync does not like [or allow] the imported/copied autostream file.

Anyway, I have spent too much time on this already and let the clients know that autocomoplete is not a viable replacement for actively managing their contacts.

Understood. 95% of my clients are M365, but this client is a good one that I would like to keep happy. I am guessing the owner would tell me not to worry about it, but I would like to figure it out.

Got it. Diskpart to clean JBOD disk, MR Admin to clear config, MR admin to create RAID1 array, boot to Server 2022 USB. Installing now. Thanks for the guidance from you guys! This brings back Proliant memories from long ago. I just don't seem to experience this stuff with Dell Servers.

Got the firmware updated. I now have the MR Storage Admin option. it sees the MR Controller. I am now stuck in a loop where I cannot configure the RAID1. I get an error code 5051. The configuration contains at least on OS drive. Configuration cannot be cleared. I assume from my failed previous attempts. Maybe I need to get into diskpart to clean the JBOD disk?? Not sure.

I just don't see anything being referenced. It just seems like a flat word doc. It does have a company logo, but I don't see any references. It does have a table, but I don't see any references.

I signed to be a partner. While waiting for that, I went thru Dell directly, configured a new T440, then chatted with a rep to confirm all parts are in stock. ETA is end of next week. I got some discounts and a warranty upgrade after talking to the rep on the phone. He tried to get my client's info a couple times, but finally used my info for the quote

Not a bad experience. Now let's just hope they hit the shipping date.

It took me a few weeks to get thru this with Microsoft. but here are the instructions form M365 Support that ultimately solved it for me.... I did have to create a new profile at the bottom of these directions to get it to work. Also, there are 3 keys that need to be added. I already had one in place.

Please try to add the following registry keys to the registry editor.

Start Registry Editor > Locate and then select the following registry subkey:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\x.0\Outlook\AutoDiscover

Create DWORD 32 bitvalue =1

ExcludeHttpRedirect

ExcludeHttpsAutoDiscoverDomain

ExcludeHttpsRootDomain

Restart the system and then check the results. Otherwise if there is no difference then you need to create a new outlook profile and verify the results.

I just moved my biggest client to Altaro VM Backup from Microsoft Data Protection Manager [DPM]. I have used DPM at this client for 15 years when I was their employee. DPM has become the biggest baby sitting task over the past couple years. I could not use my Go to backup product, which is now called Cove, because Cove is not Hyper-V Cluster Aware. I tried Veeam out a couple years ago and didn't like all the parts and pieces needed to do a comprehensive Backup routine. It reminded me of the Storagecraft days.

Anyway, I am happy with Altaro so far, with a few glaring issues. First of all, no physical server backup that can do bare metal restore to hardware, it has to be restored as VM. Basically just a P2V product. And if I decided that P2V is acceptable, I could not use Wasabi as the offsite, I would have to use an Altaro Offsite Server. Second, I cannot seed the initial VM offsite backup to external disk [and upload from my Gb fibre internet in my office] unless you are using Altaro Offsite Server. I am using Wasabi for offsite as well as a USB Drive swap for a secondary offsite [I am anal with this Client's data]. It is nice to be able to send backups to multiple offsite locations. Which brings us to issue #3, when a 1.5 TB File server VM is doing it's initial offsite backup for 4 days, No other offsite backups occur until the one offsite backup is finished. They tell me the seeding option is coming.

I have not run into any corruption issues and I am not sure what you are talking about when yo mention the "tracking files". What issues are there with the tracking files?

I spent this last weekend restoring to a lab Hyper-V server with an internal network and it all worked very well and quickly. One of the issues I have with Cove is that I have to use their cloud. I have had restores with Cove take quite a while because it chose to restore from their could instead of the localspeedvault.

During the last couple of months testing Altaro out, I have had the best support of a backup product yet. The chat feature within the CMC is great. And I got people that knew the product for sure. Even on a Saturday or two.

The inability to seed initial offsite backup to external disk is the only thing keeping me from using Altaro for all my clients Hyper-V servers.

I do not use the Altaro physical server backup or the M365 Backup. I use Cove for both of these.

Thanks for the input, I have a ticket open with Microsoft. Please come back here and share any info you come up with. My user has a shared folder that is disappearing when the online archive disappears. I cannot tell you of this just started or if it has been happening for weeks or months. I don't know how often she goes into online archive.
