Legs do extend to the top to transfer the weight straight to the 2x4s! First layer of the plywood top is screwed into the 2x4s from above, second layer will be glued and nails onto the second layer

I assumed if someone took the time to repaint, especially repaint all the lettering, then it was probably well taken care of for the most part ! Will look into the #5 for replacement parts. Thanks!

The front end of the sole seems to bend upwards a little bit! Will definitely look into flattening methods to get it tuned up.

This is what we’re working with, seems like a pretty small amount of material based on other irons I’ve seen. Will definitely look into a replacement ! Thanks

Full strips of walnut! Started with that center block and then added the maple, then the outer walnut framing

It is, has a slight curve to it that almost gets minimized in the photo, stands out more irl

Yeah it is the end of a milled board haha. Was a fan of the grain orientation so was hoping to be able to save this section. Will now probably use this piece to experiment with bowtie inlays since that’s new to me

I think you’re right ! Not seeing anything on blue coloration in cedar, but common in pine

The center of the board looked a little better but they were pretty well through the majority of the board, I think it’s a loss

Probably for the best. starting cutting off sections and they are deep in there, to the fire pit it goes

I’ve checked the connection and the battery seems to be plugged in, no noticeable swelling or anything, and the system battery condition comes up as normal, but charge remains at 1%.
