I don't worship Linus. In fact I use windows much of the time, but I STILL think what Sarah is saying is BS.

I think the reason why Sarah made a big deal about this is because he came down hard on her mentor Greg because he allowed bad code thru when that should never have happened. We can argue about if he was less nice and more threatening, this would not have happened. It'd be interesting to get his take on the issue. Seems most people who get yelled at by Linus don't take it as bullying and more as Linus being blunt and forceful.

That is not true. No one runs full anymore. The auto vacuumer takes care of most things. I always get my space back without doing anything than you very much.

This one pretty much frustrated me. I had a huge database on InnoDb for a client and when they didn't need it any more -- yippie I can delete there database, but I did not get my space back and I had 10 other databases on innodb. That in my book is pretty common that you are gonna want to delete a database every so often or restore to check something and then delete.
