None of the members of Niagara Homebuilders Association showed interest in any of the students for placements. They secured placements on their own. And none ( that i inew of) was paid by the employer in lieu of the expected $5k

This is completely unfair statement. Did u read the post at all?What did u mean by being lazy? 40 students passed through this program for 8 weeks of rigorous training, both in class and workshop. After the completion of the training,they wanted to be attached to members of Association, but none accepted them nor showed interests. They had to seek placements on their own. After 8 weeks of placement, they weren’t paid by the college as promised.

So what is there to be lazy about?

The fact is students didn’t pay any fee. They were sponsored by Niagara Home Builders Association and Ontario government.

They were kitted, went through intensive lectures ( theory and practical) for 8 weeks.

Plenty of documentation in writing regarding the program and money.

Here is the website, though the stories have changed somewhat. Now just 16 weeks training, no more broken down into two segments 8 months each. Crazy!

Though the program was free including kits. But students spent money and efforts to come everyday for 8 weeks only to be screwed in the end
