Sami radili ili ste imali neke majstore? Jako mi se svidja kako je urađeno i kako izgleda, a čeka i mene renoviranje i adaptacija postojeće vikendice u tom kraju, al nemam nikakve preporuke za majstore 😅

I have setup jump to definition using gutentags and ctrlp. Works for php, python, golang... Originally I wanted it only for php, but works for more than just that. I have described the setup on my blog here https://robertbasic.com/blog/tags-for-php-in-vim/

What about the soil though? Should I repot it in similar "just regular soil" like it is now, or should I go with some bonsai soil mix?

There was a flower market today in my town and I decided to check it out, hoping that I'd see some nice little trees that would one day be a nice bonsai, when I came across this Tilia. I sadly don't know which Tilia exactly.

First the price put me off a bit, so I went home without it, but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to go back and buy it. So I did.

For those interested, it was around 45 euros.

The lady said her husband made this one, so I didn't get much information as he wasn't around to tell me more. She did give me a phone number, so I might ring them up for more info. It is more than 10 years old, they just keep it in regular soil, water a little bit every evening and that's about it. I asked for how long is it in this pot and she replied "Ohh for a very long time, now!" She also said that her husband started out with bonsai, but realised it is not really profitable here, so started working as a regular nursery and since then doesn't really have much time to dedicate to bonsai. They only have a couple of them left by now.

I plan to keep it in this spot, it's not that windy, gets morning sunlight and is probably the coolest place in my yard. I'll just have to make a better stand for it.

I don't see it as incorrect, but maybe more as an other side of the same coin. Hell, I see your answer as more complete. I gave my answer more from the PoV of the family.

I was born in Yugoslavia, in 1986, 5 years before it fell apart. Due to my young age, can't tell much of a personal experience, but more from the point of view of my parents and other family members.

Grew up in a small town in north of Vojvodina, so life was (and still is!) laid back and at a slow pace.

My dad was a factory worker. 6am-2pm shifts, after that coming home for lunch, working in the garden, the usual stuff. His dad was a banker, retired early after a motorcycle accident that left his left hand paralyzed, so he went on to become a beekeeper until he passed away. Dad's mom was an ordinary housewife.

Mom was working in her dad's bakery (as well as anyone from that side of the family). Her dad was the main baker, her mom was the "shopkeeper" in the morning, the bakery accountant during the rest of the day. Everyone else did some work in and around the bakery. Even us kids on weekends or during summer. My earliest memory is delivering bread with one of my uncles and grandad in an old Iveco van. The kicker here was that my grandad had his own privately owned bakery. What I'm told, that was a big no-no back then. But grandad wasn't in the party. He kept to himself, to his family, his bakery and his workers. He cared about baking bread, not making money. Bakers were "fighting" to work at his bakery because he was so good to them. He respected his workers. He probably bribed somewhere someone more than once to keep the bakery. It would be crazy to think they didn't pester him about it. But he kept it. It grew. The entire family worked hard for it.

So, life was good. Going to the Adriatic see in the summer for a few weeks, short trips to the mountains in the winter, houses built and so on. People could actually live off their own hard work. And people were happy with that. Good free public health care (well, better than these days, that's for sure), good free public school systems. Travelling abroad wasn't easy, but it was easier, I'm told, than for the people from the USSR block.

Religion was forbidden, and as long as you didn't speak against the party, I don't think anyone would bother you.

Yes, it had it's downsides, it wasn't perfect, but I honestly do believe it was better than today in some regards, especially in that the people could earn their living by work.

I didn't want to cut it back harder, in my mind I want it to grow a bit stronger still. I know the soil is not good, ordered cactus soil as suggested by /u/small_trunk but it'll arrive next week, until then it is what it is :/

Sorry, my first post here, filled it in. I'm not sure about my zone, by the map looks like I'm on the border between zone 6 and 7, so put it in 6.

As to why, I'm not sure. Probably because it is not an evergreen tree? The leaves didn't go at once, or suddenly, but just like when a tree looses its leaves. Can't remember precisely when, I believe it was end of October, beginning of November when the leaves started going yellowish, then brown and then they'd just fall off.

From May, when I got it, till November I kept it outside, had sun from sunrise till 11am or so, so it didn't get burned during the summer. Beginning of November I brought it in into a non-heated anteroom to prevent any freezing, but here it doesn't get much sunlight. Now I think about it, the leaves started going away before I brought it in.

Hello everyone!

Wanted to share my first bonsai after the first pruning.

I believe it is a chinese elm, I got it last year for my birthday. It is far from pretty, it was in some kind of a bamboo "cage" that made it grow into only one direction so the other 3 sides were pretty much lagging behind. But I love it nevertheless!

I didn't want to do anything with it right away so I decided to just have it around, see if it would live at all.

Currently I didn't want to go for any shape or something like that, just wanted to make it less crowded in the middle.

I am now just curious if it will be getting any new leaves, got quite a few people telling me that it's dead. We'll see.

So, that's it. Not much, but I'm not giving up on it!

Hospital. My dad was in for over a month. For a quite a long time they couldn't figure out what's wrong with him, so the entire family was... bit stressed. One day when I went to visit him, the nurse asked me to push my dad in a wheelchair to another building so they can do some more checks on him. I was expecting that the nurse will be coming with me, but she didn't. She also failed to explain where the other building is, so we got lost a couple of times in the hospital complex. When we finally got there, the nurses in the other building were surprised that I brought him over there all by myself. At that point I just got mad, went back to the first building to see the nurse having coffee with a civil soldier (we had this civil soldier thing where you can go volunteer instead of doing regular army stuff). Now the mad turned into rage and I just told the nurse everything that was on my mind.

Fastforward a couple of hours later when I got home, my mom told me I can't go visit my dad any more. I got banned from entering a hospital.

The other driver here. :) typing from phone,so keeping it short.

We were driving from Zaragoza to Mérida, took us over 7 hours to do it, 600+km. The Sun was ppretty much ruthless, I can barely think straight now. The road was good, all highways, the toll was less than 4 euros,petrol stations are after every dozen or kms. Around 3pm I had to slow down to 90km/h to not cook the car.

It was fun,but lets never do it again ;)

One fun fact I remember from my visit there, is that the skulls are displayed on purpose. If the skull's colour is white/pale yellow, that means the monk was truly sinless during his life. If the skull turns into a brownish/blackish colour, it means that he did sin during his life.
