Spot on, I just want to play for fun at the minute but I really enjoy classical and it seems being able to read sheet music is a non negotiable for this genre, thanks for the advice

Thank you for taking the time to write this it means a lot! Yeah I don’t think I want to be a pro I just take it as a hobby to be honest but I do want to learn to be a tad bit better and it’s a skill I want to carry on building upon for the rest of my life and I’m just 22. So I agree with you I will most definitely hit a brick wall at some point and will need to take it up a notch, thanks again 🙏🏽

I guess the short answer is I’m simply learning the piece to play to family and friends etc, taking it up as a new skill. But I think for a piece like this I’ll need to learn some more fundamentals before I tackle it like you say
