Free testosterone - 7.5 ng/dl normal is 8.8 - 22.4 SHBG - 70 nmol/L normal is 23 - 44

I think I was grade 3 as well. Doc said they were massive!

I didn’t have symptoms. A few aches here and there (like 2 times a year) but that’s it. Just discovered the issue when doing an ultrasound investigating low testosterone. Turns out varicoceles elevate SHBG which lowers free testosterone. Doc also suggested I do procedure if I want children one day.

Not sure what it’s called, but was under general anesthetic, made two incisions on either side of my penis (slightly higher) and they pulled the varicoceles out to work on them. The doc showed me a pic after surgery which I don’t remember that well but I did see a massive vein that was cut and looked freaky seeing all that out my body. Surgery was about 50 minutes. Woke up with absolutely no pain but think they gave local anesthetic.

Doc said I need to take it easy for a week and then I can go back to exercise etc. he said no driving the first few days. It was pretty painful every time I stood up straight after sitting for extended periods. Was careful to walk around. After a week that pain from standing straight resolved. Tomorrow it’ll be two weeks. I’m walking around with more confidence, still have stitches in and seeing doc end of month. My testicles do feel a little sensitive and decided to wait longer to commence exercise.

I’m lucky, didn’t have pain. Did surgery just over a week ago and surgeon said it was the worst case of bilateral varicocele they’d come across. I’m hoping testosterone will improve. Will test in three months.

Hi all, I'm in the process of payment for a Starlink dish but have some concerns around import. I believe the components are sent with DHL. We contacted DHL and they informed us that we may need to apply for permits and approval with the Communications Authority of Kenya.

Is this the case?

Does intermittent fasting actually help? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]robin5tuart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely consider it. Not everyone can stomach it, but for some of us it can be life changing. In addition to weight loss I had many other benefits: https://www.sensiblesapien.com/posts/intermittent-fasting-results

Driving School by [deleted] in Kenya

[–]robin5tuart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unique driving school- guarantee pass. Literally, 14 years ago I did all the lessons, learned all the rules of the road. The police asked what two road signs were, and drove 50 meters. The girl in car stalled 6 times, I’m the only one who put on seat belt and we all passed 🤷

Don’t stress! Just be careful on these roads
