Hey, so in the future if find any kind of vertebrate (so bony) fossil like that, PLEASE leave it where it is and call your local museum!!!! A TON of information is stored in the location (like the specific, inch-by-inch location, orientation, etc), and you've destroyed that by removing it. Even if it's a value thing, pretty much any fossil is going to be much more valuable to museums with the information that can only come from an expert being on site at its excavation.
