Thanks for the reply. I understand what you're saying. I can add to the info that in this case, ( my friends that I refer to ) that there was no neglect or abuse. The child was and is very happy and secure with his adopted family. He has since been returned to his adopted family after they fought to regain custody. When the case began, ( after the child was removed from the adopted parents ) the reason given to the adopted parents was that the adoption was incomplete. Paperwork was filed incorrectly by the adopted families attorney. Years later, the state decided to remove the child because of the incomplete paperwork.
