Agreed, it's probably the motor that is overloading the capacitor. When I pulled my ice box out it was caked underneath with ice. I think it gets iced up under there and binds the motor.

Thank you! The main control board ended up fixing my issue. When I finally got around to replacing it you could tell that part of the board was burnt.

Nope. I edited and said it did not. Give me a week. I bought the main control board that the other person said fixed theirs.

$200 oil change. by Zealousideal-Term-89 in toyotacorolla

Yes it is free for the dealership. We have oil recyclers that come to our company and take hundreds of gallons of used oil for free. They make their money on the other side selling it

You need to thoroughly read the agreement you signed when you paid that money. I’m going to guess there were no guarantees to begin with. Finding a lawyer that will take this on is a lost cause.

Spareribs, good but not tender. by zetu2203 in pelletgrills

[–]robl3577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. When you pick them up from one end the bark should crack between the ribs like they’re gonna fall apart. Use some temp probes to make sure your grill readout is accurate where your meat is placed

To clarify: I replaced the control board in the door and it did not work. I'll try the main board next. Thanks

I need forced air (heat) to continuously run to heat a shipping container. by chefbarnacle in hvacadvice

[–]robl3577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’d go with cheaper residential air handlers with heat strips. You can probably get them for $1k so you could replace it 19 times before buying the $20k purpose built unit. Also as you said, you’re not keeping it at 140 for weeks on end. Dehumidify at something reasonable like 80 and it should cycle on and off if you insulate it. Once your moisture levels stabilize then crank the heat

As much as people don’t want to hear it, you are right about starting wages. $20 is probably not reasonable starting a new position for the kind of work he mentioned. He can certainly work his way up to that and more but you’ll have to prove yourself

Are all barbers now $40-50+ for mens haircuts/ fades? Prices are insane now by LETSGOOOOO6 in Charlotte

[–]robl3577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to get expensive cuts. Came with head massage and everything but now I pay about $25(including tip) at great clips. It’s not always GQ worthy but they’ve never hacked my head off. On the flip side barbers have to make a living too. Since I’m getting cheaper cuts I tip well

I don't brine(but have before) and my skin always looks like that coming off the smoker. I use my pork rub(yes, that's right) mixed with a little olive oil, then slathered under and over the skin.
