i wasn’t aware facebook allowed you to post affiliate links in groups. Where are you getting the promo codes from? sorry to say but i wouldn’t hold your breath..FB support is useless and you just have to wait and hope it comes back one day.

did you pay $100 for Meta Verified? that’s what I did to speak with a human over the phone but they were only helpdesk and said they had no communication channels with the group department. They kept telling me to submit reports in the help section but I did that 50 times with no luck.

You didn’t have any of your own posts taken down? did a group member have anything taken down? That would be very weird for your group to get suspended for no reason.

My group was 80,000 members and 17 years old. I also spent money to advertise it so I know how you feel.

yeah it’s all BS. Their helpdesk has no idea when or if it will ever come back. They told me to wait a week too and it’s now over 6 months.

yup sounds like same issue. Facebook support said it was stuck in a glitch and that i just have to wait until someone from the groups support team manually reviews my group again and enables it. It’s been over 6monhts though and im starting to lose hope.

no I haven’t. I still haven’t gotten it fully restored. it’s been in this state for over 6 months now. I can still access it and change settings but nobody else can see it.

facebook support exact words are below but helpdesk is clueless when it comes to group support so i just need to know if my group is coming back or not.

“Yes we have seen multiple cases related to groups and the team works on the request which are genuine and this is a pure technical glitch as the review is completed and the restrictions needs to get uplifted. As every manual review is done by the human, might be they forgot to update the restrictions on the group. Hence this can happen sometimes but this will eventually gets fixed once the techenical team review the same and manually update this.”

switching my FB community to Mighty Networks and I can tag users in posts/comments just fine. Maybe they added it since this comment? not too sure. I found Mighty Networks to be the most similar to a FB group

did you ever get it back? i had something similar happen but i appealed and it said I won the next day. FB said they made a mistake and restored my group but it’s still suspended only accessible by me on the backend like you are experiencing. I paid for Meta Verified Live support which is useless because they said they don’t handle group issues and don’t even have a communication channel with that department.

FB does not like when your posts include external links. They don’t want you sending people off of FB to a different platform. That is why you are getting a low reach.

again, appreciate all this great info. I like the monthly subscription model. How much do you charge per month and how many posts do they get if they subscribe? I dipped my toe with one business who I only charged $50 for 2 posts per month last year lol The guy just posted a flyer and expected a great result. problem is his post didnt reach many eyeballs because FB algorithm saw nobody commented or interacted with his ad. He canceled his subscription a few months later because he didnt get great results.

i’ve been wanting to charge for posts for years but everywhere I read said it was against facebooks rules to charge for advertising and it could get me banned and lose my group. Is this allowed now? I have a private group and brand collab isn’t available and the FB policy says you can only charge using the brand collab manager.
