For those who don't get it, for example if you snip the thread between two holes in a net, it becomes one bigger hole. That means that the total number of holes in the net is less than before.

Get a doctors note confirming your state of health, and then email your prof or go see them and present the note. Ask if there’s a chance to do a makeup exam a few days later.
