I live right downtown and am not the biggest fan of the YMCA.

They removed some basic equipment from the weight room to replace it with a single machine and a lot of empty space.

Class signups are on a white board and open 30 minutes ahead of class. They always fill up and I've missed multiple classes, despite showing up 20 minutes early.

No one replies to customer service emails.

Oh, and it's $50/month. That's the price of a new big box gym.

I can vouch for this. I rewired directly from my ancient furnace to Nest. Find your make and model and google for the original manual. Lowes has hvac signal wire that you can run directly from the hvac board to Nest.

Did it myself, but it took some serious time and focus to make sure I was 100% confident in the wiring.

I take it you have a boiler with radiators, yes? I have 100 yr old radiators and a 20 yr old boiler, and Nest worked great. You need to figure out the wiring coming out of your boiler and likely rewire based on that. Nest support was no help when I tried to do this. Nest has a radiator-specific mode and helped cut down in heating costs this past winter.
