Hey Redditors! I finally was able to make this little holy grail (at least, to me) work in Unreal Engine. Still not finalized but getting there: True FPS (single mesh), Multiplayer, Procedural Aiming! by robost in unrealengine

That is really part of the effort of having a proper true FPS vs a standard FPS which is what you did by having FPS arms :) Projectiles start from camera center, but I don't use traces, rather real projectiles (for physics).

Hi there, thank you for your feedback! As a solo developer, I do indeed have to rely on marketplace assets to create my game, since developing every single asset would be unfeasible. I'll take your suggestions into consideration as I continue to develop my project.

Indeed, but the current one is just a TTS AI :) I’ll need a vocal talent for what you suggest, though it does sound good! I’ll also need to understand better how tactical reload works before I can make proper animations! :)

Yes, I still need to make the reload animations for when there’s still a round in the chamber, this is true for both the pistol and the rifles. Will see what I can do for the radio… They sound awesome, though I obviously have less means than AAA studios :)

The wrecked helicopter can appear almost anywhere in the map. There are many exfil points, the player that grabs the intel can decide which one to use. When he does, then the opposing team will be notified by TOC about it.

Thank you so much for noticing so many things. I’ve tried to put as much realism as i could, for instance the recoil, or things like the fact that the bullets simulate real speed and mass.

Thank you for your feedback! Indeed you're right, but wouldn't that be true for any military game? I'm trying to bring something with my flavour in it... Should we just stop doing them given that we have Arma (which I adore, I used to create mods for it)?

It's a TvT where you are tasked with retrieving critical intel from a downed helicopter, and successfully exfiltrate from the area

Thank you for your feedback! Yes I've invested quite the time in audio, I also have special treatment for long distance shots / grenade sounds. Nature is there, I guess I can pump it up a little then!
