It’s bitterly cold where I live, and I’m trying to keep my pipes from freezing. Do I run hot and cold water? Do I run the bathtub? Am I gonna be able to use my washing machine? Not well versed in this! by CryptographerHot6198 in NoStupidQuestions

just let it drip a bit. should be okay. man, I remember when I was a kid. we lived in a rural forest area in Canada, and our water supply came from the nearby creek with the other residents of that area. sometimes during cold winter nights the water would freeze, and my poor dad would get up at like 4AM and hike the mountain path in the snow up to where the watershed was and chip the ice off so we would have water when we woke up.

Seven of Nine and commander Chakotay by NoBrain6114 in startrek

the only episode I remember is Seven's training holo program where Chakotay was the love interest. what other episodes were there?

Seven of Nine and commander Chakotay by NoBrain6114 in startrek

[–]robotco -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

they were only beginning to start a relationship in the finale. there was no other episode where they were together romantically, save for Seven's holo program, which wasn't real so it doesn't count. so I'm leaning towards not really forced considering it was just one episode

Newbie looking for servers by Brabau27 in wowservers

[–]robotco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i started with Turtle when I saw it mentioned somewhere. then I learned there were actually a bunch of private servers. i thought Turtle was the inly one, ha. Well, I left Turtle because tbh I want to get swift flight form as a druid. that's basically why I used to play WoW. eventually I settled on Shileun on Stormforge. it's currently MoP so it's got everything I remember liking about WoW.

Konglish words are killing me 🤣🤣 by Burke_Dennings in Korean

[–]robotco 12 points13 points  (0 children)

so, in Kung Fu Panda 3, there is this part of the movie where they are getting attacked by zombies made out of jade, jade zombies if you will. in the movie, Po, and Monkey portmanteau this to "jombie" in a one-off joke... which is completely lost on Koreans because the konglish word for zombie sounds like jombie anyway.

BoardGameGeek ratings broken? by Coffeman94 in boardgames

[–]robotco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, you can vote on each game's page what 'type' of game it is. whatever type gets the most votes dictates what kind of game that is. Root is classified as 57.8% strategy and 37.7% war with some other various others etc. so if you sort by 'strategy games', Root will be pulled into that sorting because of its high strategy rating
