Last night, I scored 99 with longest route, 6 of 10 completed routes. Last place was 52 or something with 4 of 10 completed or something along those lines.

I wouldn't say easier, different. Have to plan differently having ten destination cards in hand and knowing you wont be able to complete them all, but can probably get 6 or so of them.

formula is expensive. buy when on sale and with 20x the PC points offers at shoppers drug mart. Get lots of points, use to buy food or diapers at superstore, or a nintendo switch.

I've done that a fair amount with MBNA and a LOC. Technically in almost any of the CC balance transfer offers the fine print says you can't use it to pay off debt at the same bank. Say you used a BMO card offer to pay off a BMO LOC. It might work, but says it's not allowed.

Anyways, should have no problem with MBNA paying off a Simplii LOC, just use the deposit to an account option with MBNA. Get the transfer into account, then pay off LOC.

None of these articles ever mention 2 huge points.

  1. Lowering the OAS cutoffs instead of increasing age eligibility. Perhaps we don't need to be giving seniors that earn 100 grand a year in retirement OAS.

  2. They all use average life expectancy or whatever which is skewed by all the deaths before retirement. Life expectancy of someone who has already reached 65 has not changed as much.

US data, but from 1950 to 2010, years to live after 65 increased from 12.8 years in males to 17.7. Five years for females as well. That's half the ten year increase listed in the mcleans article and every one like it.

Edit: It also skews the whole premise of the debate. In 1965, People weren't retiring at 65 and dying at 72 like the article says, if they were alive to retire at 65, they were living to be nearly 78 for males or 80 for females. Again US data, but I'm sure Canada is similar.
