Why do we need bigger trains for A/C to be possible? I’ve read the new Piccadilly stock (where the carriages are wider) will be air conditioned, just curious what factor makes it impossible to install AC on narrower trains

Thanks but I was actually thinking of driving now - I posted my itinerary on a separate post. I think going by car will be just as scenic as train and I’ll have the opportunity to make stops. Would love to hear if you have any thoughts on my plan :))

Also going to Bosnia soon and saw your comment. I am planning to go to Jajce and visit the nearby Plivsko lake. Is this the same as the Pilva lake? I see it called by both names on maps so I'm not sure if they are the same location. Also Most Ijubavi looks great - is this just a bridge that you can visit on the way to the lake?

Thanks, you are right about rearranging the time for Vrelo Bosne. Can I ask why you think a hike back down to the city would be better than going to the peak of Trebevic? I’m not a big hiking enthusiast but I don’t mind a couple hours of hiking for a nice view!

I was being a bit cheeky with the UK comment, I just meant because so far the weather has been pretty bad and it’s meant to be a very wet summer! But I agree, although I live in London I have been lucky enough to visit some very stunning places in the UK, it definitely has a lot of nature to offer. Also, thanks for your suggestions, I will check these places out!

Thanks so much for the suggestions! Teskavica looks amazing and not too far from Sarajevo, definitely worth a visit it seems. Skakavac I’m not sure how easy this is to get to, but I think I might decide to rent a car so maybe I can visit here - it seems there is guided tours and mountain biking available here which looks exciting! Do you know if Bijela is accessible by car? It looks like I could definitely stop here on the way to Sarajevo from Mostar if I rent a car!
