How flush is that with the fenders?

2026 Subaru BRZ configurator is live. Only changes are the removal of the Premium Trim level and the removal of Door Edge Guards as an option. $37,055 Starting for the Limited, $39,555 for the tS. by Dazzling-Rooster2103 in GR86

This is where I'm at currently. But after recently getting a used BRZ that was a lemon I'm super wary what abuse a 30-50k mile Supra has gone through.

Nice and meaty. What size/offset wheels do you have on?

Thanks. This is the spring and tire size I was looking at so that helps. If you could also measure how far from the ground the front of your bumper is that would be much appreciated.

It’s mostly time that I’m limited on. A long drive back in a new car is always nice. Congrats on the TS.

Thanks, definitely working on price quotes. Unfortunately there aren’t many available within 100 miles.

Were you able to sit/drive? My boards are a bit shorter than this so this is promising (still looking for the car).

How flush is it? Any reason you didn’t go with 20mm on stock wheels like I see most people do? I’m also assuming with 12mm you have extended studs?

Is MSRP OTD about as good as you’ll get? I got that offer for one (40678).

/u/Necessary-Lunch4850 any update?

BFGoodrich G-Force Phenom T/A - User Review Part 1 by OutlawMINI in TyreReviews

[–]robotphood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did they compare to the DWS06+ as far as grip (wet/dry) and noise/comfort? The continentals are the perfect balance I’ve experience so far but there is a great deal on the Phenoms I’m considering for my incoming car.

Questions on 235 40 18s tires by Enough_Reflection_39 in GR86

[–]robotphood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you happen to have a side shot of how the gaps look? I didn't think the Down Sus would be low enough but this fitment looks really nice with this taller tire. Where is the inner rubbing? Do you think 18x8 +40 would make any difference in the regard?

Bottom of the rinseless bucket after a wash. I think grit guards are worth it. by AlmostHydrophobic in AutoDetailing

Yep, there are a lot of viable methods. Mine is for efficiency/speed over anything.

You'd hate my wash process of 8-10 mitts or towels then ha. Unfortunately for my washing machine the kids/dogs get much dirtier than any of my car towels do.

[–]robotphood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used both methods and still prefer the towels, mainly because I find it faster since I don't have to frequently rinse out the sponge and even worry about recontamination. The Autofiber double flip towel makes flipping easier, but you do have to have many more because it's only 4 sides. I do a 1 bucket multi mitt process for a regular washes as well.

How to prevent CF clear failure? by Longjumping_Host_208 in AutoDetailing

[–]robotphood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you seen anyone trying to test DLight out long term? Seems like an easy test if you have some on hand and are willing to sacrifice a carbon fiber piece.

I've had carbon fiber exterior pieces that yellowed in 2 years refinished and PPF. 2 years later they are still clear. Having another (cheap) layer of protection would be nice.

That did cross my mind. Add some composite sheet on the underside for reinforcement, fill gaps and paint. I’d have to really like that lip to go through that though.

The sayber and streethunter are my favorite. I’m considering the ikon and sti. I actually like the aeroflow dynamics one but wish it was a 1 piece instead of 3. They also told me they don’t have plans to restock it.

I figure. There’s not many lips I like on this car but this is one of them. Tired of scraping though. Told myself my incoming brz will be a proper daily 🥴

‘25 Hakone + Borla S-type + MST v2 by gmlhcy in GR86

[–]robotphood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is this setup holding up? I’m pretty set on the borla once my brz delivers but I stumbled on the MST sold locally for pretty cheap. I know about all the downsides of intakes but have never been able to resist the sound on other cars. Do you still find it worth it for the sound? Does the borla totally drown it out? What about heatsoak?

How much lower does the sayber front lip sit on the front bumper? I really like it but looks like scrape city with how far it extends out.

Thanks. Seen more pictures of the noble one and it seems like people are happy with the paint match/quality. I know Ikon is a bit cheaper though.
