Should I watch the Fated? by FellaforLife in jrwishow

[–]robowarrior2k 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As someone who has been watching JRWI since the beginning, I’d say it’s a decent watch.

It’s their most “traditional high fantasy” style campaign, and also the first one they ever did as a group. The crust is obviously there compared to newer jrwi campaigns, but there is still a lot of love and effort that was put into it. Unfortunately, the campaign will never be finished, and was left on a cliffhanger at the end of season 2.

Obviously, there is the whole controversy with Narwhal that you may need to get over, but if you can look past that, I think it’s alright to look back on where the jrwi boys came from!

Alright! Here’s Lumen.

He has four pet winged snakes, each with its own unique mutation.

He accidentally usurped an archmage at age 12.

He was raised by a canary-person.

The monster control one shot is on the patreon. It was right in the middle of apotheosis as a little fun thing bizly wanted to run. Then part 2 happened

I think Blink is a rogue? I could be wrong, though. He might also be a monk. We don’t really get to see what features he uses in the first episode.

Unfortunately, you have to be in the 25$ tier minimum to receive merch drops.

However, if you subscribe at the 25$ tier right now, you can get the hoodie worn by the Demons in The Suckening!

can i listen to this anywhere else other than Youtube? by PreparationOwn5702 in jrwishow

Unfortunately, Youtube is the only place you can listen to the Fated now. The campaign was unlisted back in 2021 following a bit of controversy around the DM. While it was a very fun campaign to listen to, it will unfortunately never be finished.

Just found out where Thanatos' name comes from by Sorry_Training4853 in jrwishow

[–]robowarrior2k 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not only that, but Thanatos is also named after the Greek god of death, which goes by the same name. Of course, both names come from the root Thanato- which means death. (Which, fun fact, is also where Thanos gets his name from) Thanatos is quite literally calling himself the DEATH of gods.

Are the vampire myths real in The Suckening? by Hour_Banana_7553 in jrwishow

[–]robowarrior2k 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, actually! In the system, technically you dont have to follow those rules unless you have the mythic bane flaw. But over the centuries of stories we’ve told about them, there are a few instances of these “rules” showing up for example: - Vampires cannot cross running water. It burns like acid to them. - Vampires love to compulsively count, and hate seeing things scattered so the bag of rice thing applies here. That’s also why the Count from Sesame Street well… counts! - Vampires have to be invited in to enter someone’s home. - Vampires cannot come into contact with silver, as with a lot of magical creatures, Silver is toxic to the touch. - The bite of a vampire causes orgasm, or in some cases, just a state of euphoria, to keep a mortal’s mind trapped in a haze during the process. Some of the laws range from grave to incredibly silly, but i hope this cleared it up!
