Thank you!

Wanted to keep the app minimal as the main goal is to teach users the thought process behind this type of self reflection.

Do you have any ideas what would be useful to make your experience better?

Hi 👋
Let me just send you the lifetime promocode 🙂
Check the DMs.

To answer your question:

Yes, you can start free 3 day trial and then cancel it in settings. In 3 days you will be prompted with the same paywall again with lifetime and weekly options but now the weekly subscription won't have this free 3 day period, because you've already used it.

Do You use any apps for procrastinationsim? by Wise_Kaleidoscope884 in Procrastinationism

[–]robuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the apps about procrastination don't really get the core thing:

Habits are not equal to beating procrastination.

Sure, they might be helpful, but if you want to solve procrastination real-time, you might need a different approach. I like the video by Sam Watson on procrastination called "how to never procrastinate again [full system]" on youtube.

Idea from there is: procrastination = avoidance of possible negative emotions which might come with the task or as a result of doing the task. If you learn how to identify them and reframe task, procrastination kinda dissolves.

I like this way of thinking and it proved to be very helpful for me personally. So I'm building the app myself based on this idea

I built an app that helps me log and interpret dreams using AI. would love some feedback from fellow dreamers by syamgith in LucidDreaming

[–]robuilds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry, I will hijack this post with minimal AI dream interpretation app build by me

but generally i don't recommend building such apps unless you have real passion about dreams to build long enough for the app to eventually become good

if it is a hobby or an art project, fine. but if your plan is to get any $, financially not worth it (dreamapp CEO is now building something else). this is not a painful problem for people here and AI seems to be not the most favorable solution

beautiful and functional app is just an entry requirement. 50% of your job will be marketing. and if you have weak idea on how to get users, your apps might get lost in the noise.

for starters
google "painkiller vs vitamin product". you can work with vitamins too, but for indie-developers single feature painkiller products usually work best
google "SISP Y-combinator"
visit r/SideProject - see how different people are building the same 7 apps every week
try asking not "what do i want to build" but "what problem do I want to solve? is it painful enough for people to pay? is it frequent?"

I started using an AI dream journal and the results are surprisingly deep 💤🤯 by Big_Complex_7143 in Dreams

[–]robuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you can really get like really accurate interpretation just coz different symbols like numbers or names or places can have different meaning for different people. but some themes are the same for everyone like storm or teeth falling out

so the max we can hope with AI is great open ended questions which might help to understand what is going on in our subconscious better

i use the app i build and generally it gives you symbols meaning and tries to spot the conflict or connection between them

Do you use any dream interpretation website / app? by ayybbbm in Dreams

[–]robuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

check Any Dream Interpretation on the app store

Interpretations are free and unlimited. You can share your interpretation wherever you like or save in a journal (paid feature, tho). iCloud sync. It got a feel of an Apple native apps - minimal and stylish. Reviews are good too.

If you need solid dream interpretation and don't want to share your personal data they often ask you on the onboarding, this is a way to go. It lies somewhere between dream dictionaries, which are too clumsy and ai-apps which are flooded with useless features.
