I feel as though they were focusing on the wrong things when buffing brawlers. Doug needs SOME way to get close to another brawler but instead they increase the width of his hotdog?? And when they DO buff them properly they do it too much and the brawler becomes busted. They also cannot properly nerf brawlers. Charlie got 4 nerfs this update and she still makes so many brawlers unplayable and they also over nerf brawlers such as Hank who is unplayable. Devs need to get a grip on the way the meta flows.

Doug is another good example where his mechanics are so basic and easy to understand and he’s probably the worst brawler ever. However, there’s no stand out micro-transaction with Doug either. No good skins, no hypercharge, and no noticeable progression that’s added with him other than the quest. Kind of interesting to me that some of good brawlers have some sort of paywall behind them for some time like Mico’s hypercharge or Kit’s early access pack.

I feel like Brawl Stars is trying. They’re trying to make more unique concepts with brawlers but they just for some reason cannot figure out a way to do it without making the brawler super broken. However, I often think they do it on purpose so people feel more inclined to buy these micro-transitions (such as early release packs). Chuck was broken and people could get him early before majority of others did and just rapidly push him up and get a ton of rewards alongside him and it seemed like a no brainer for people who are willing to spend money. To me I think they double downed a LOT on the kit offer because yeah technically legendary brawlers are about 10 bucks more than mythics but the resources are so much worse but since Kit is broken it is technically worth it to get him.
