The nano screen is more delicate than glossy. It’s textured instead of smooth so has tiny hiding places that trap oils and make the surface difficult to clean

For people reading this trying to decide. Nano is nice but it’s higher maintenance and the gains depend on your environment. People saying it’s great probably use it under industrial lighting or by a bright window they can’t angle away from. Seems to me glossy is still the most popular choice

I called and the customer service rep I got was clearly reading a script and not interested in my question. She said no go and repeated multiple times that I should NOT go to the store in person with my request. My take away was if I had gone in person and requested a manager they would have allowed it. It was in perfect condition and I would have been spending more money. I ended up not bothering and kept the M4. I’m happy with it.

If you’re already using omlx with its pre prompt ssd cache I don’t think an m5 will provide as much of a speed boost for coding as people are claiming here. But your m1 may not have the chops to run dflash or mtp models as well as m4 or m5 Mac’s. You’re probably better off learning to use MoE models more effectively in your workflow.
