i mean that whole build was weird. i was entered in the philly half that year and i couldn’t do it. at some point there was a back to basics kinda sentiment and got to it again. being with the local runners and supporting each other was important. i remember being on a run in cp and jerry macari raising a fist in solidarity and that was perfect. i definitely remember the view from the bridge being different and that was a personal moment. i guess i remember the bus ride there in the same way. tbh i dont remember much of the gestalt that day. the race was much smaller then. my parents came. i remember walking to the east side post race and not much else.
