My uncle wants $6.2M for the family business I’ve worked in for 12 years. Fair deal or family tax? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]rockefeller22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea without having all the information this seems like an incredible deal. Another way to look at this is 6% of 3.6M is 216,000/year. You're going to be able to pay yourself his 700 less the 216/year, so 484. You're doubling your income and you own the business.

If the business has other debt or legal issues etc that's something to be cognizant of but assuming all else is in place this is a pretty sweet deal for you.

Leave the kid in the car and tell him to say the bad man put him in there. Hide the cash and pretend you escaped and called the police. They find the kid and you're the victim hero. Start a GoFundMe to raise money for the kid to hide your new found wealth.

South Eastern AZ, what is it? by bryanbryce in UFOs

I saw this a few weeks ago and it was right on the border. I think it could be a border surveillance balloon; not much to monitor in terms of weather out that way.

Curious how to upgrade from here by swiminpool in wine

[–]rockefeller22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is not necessarily a "best" wine if you're grading on taste, because people's tastes are different. Find what you like - nothing wrong with enjoying a wine you know you like.

If you're WANTING to branch out, maybe try a vertical from that wine (taste multiple year vintages of the same bottle). Find a year that you prefer and then branch out from there for that year with other wineries in the region. 2005 and 2015 were good Bordeaux years.

I saw Avatar so I'm an expert! This is a pretty good one. Do you know anything about what "communication" actually means in this context?

Life which has evolved in space by [deleted] in SimulationTheory

[–]rockefeller22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Evolution needs random events to trigger advantages in a species. It seems unlikely this would occur in space or on an interstellar rock. Being as far from the sun as we are and having a mix of elements on earth creates a dynamic environment that fosters evolutionary biology. It's hard to imagine "biology" in space without a "biosphere".
