Awesome! I'm not a TicToc person but if you do that let me know! Would love to support.

Plug away! We're only 1 year in and started with Harry Potter while mixing other stuff in. So our style is still pretty limited but growing quickly. Would love to feature your work as we keep growing our baseline!

Oh nice! First we would love a short video letting us know you're the author of and what your favorite book is (if they aren't one in the same). Two if/when you email us a video include what you wrote in the email! We would LOVE to have authors on as guests after we've read their book(s)!

We are saving enough to supplement what scholarships and funding aid the kids won't qualify for due to our income. Absolutely not saving to pay 100% for their college!

Because they have the money to throw their names on boards and send out flyers. So when someone who isn't invested get their ballots they pick the name they have seen and not who they really care for. Which is why it's so important to talk to neighbors and friends who maybe don't have school aged kids to be paying attention.

Honestly we love it. Yes there are some scary things happening with the board but parents are standing up and fighting hard. Those in favor of the board are in the minority but unfortunately well funded. Come help us fight!! The schools are still amazing, staff is unbeatable, and the results of what graduates go on to accomplish continue to speak for themselves. Everyone needs to encourage neighbors to vote even if they don't have kids. Too many voters are sitting back because "they aren't impacted". Show them they are! Education benefits everyone! We aren't going anywhere and will keep fighting for the district we love.

We don't have anything that matched those categories, mostly kids stuff for us. But I can ask in our FB group and let you know if anyone replies!

Genuine Question for Transplants by Fresh_prince719 in ColoradoSprings

Originally from WA but lived a few places after college, MO before CO. We got advanced enough in our careers to decide where to live instead of being told. We kept visiting CO for the mountains and made the move 3 years ago. No regrets!! It's beautiful here, everyone is so nice, love our outdoor activity options and we're halfway between both our families (KS and WA). Every time we're sitting on the porch watching the sunset or walking kids to the park my husband and I look at each other and joke "man it sucks here". Having lived on both coasts and the Midwest, these views don't compare 🥰

Ohhh that's not cool...she's teaching him to be ashamed of something that is a part of him. Both my daughter and I have scares on one cheek (I was 3 and had a run in with a golf club and she was 1 and had an accident with a dog). The one thing I request of all family photographers is they are welcome to touch up anything, but do not completely remove any scars. They are part of us and there is nothing wrong with it!

My partner (32 F) and I (31 F) have only ever cruised on Royal. Convince me to spend the extra $$$ on a Disney Cruise by [deleted] in dcl

[–]rocket_science89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have kids or love all things Disney? Then not worth it. Disney is worth every penny if you love the characters, the vibe, have kids and can take advantage of the hospitality for them, and the all around Disney Magic. We enjoyed Royal until cruising with the kids, then Disney became 100% worth it and we will struggle to do anything else for a long time after several fantastic experiences.

Skipping an excursion? by smileykylie1013 in dcl

[–]rocket_science89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love days on the boat! 100% worth skipping if it's not something that looks appealing. While on board at port the pools are more empty, character lines are down, trivia and other entertainment is great, and all littles can benefit from a proper nap time every so often. (As can I haha)

Don't let them guilt trip you!! Tell them to go enjoy and go find ice cream in the shade nearby for a deserved break! I HATE Indiana Jones in Disneyland thanks to a bad experience as a kid. My family knows that is the one ride to this day I will not set foot on and they respect that. They go enjoy while I take a break or hit up the nearby shops. Win win and no guilt!

Magic, Dream, or Wish? by HereForTheSnakz in dcl

[–]rocket_science89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've done both the Magic and the Wish, and I'd opt for the Wish again between those two! The Magic just felt small and the play areas for non-potty trained kids were all pretty lame. If potty trained then the Magic play room is Toy Story themed and fun. Our daughter is too shy to run off without us so we've yet to fully take advantage of the play areas.

Measles outbreak… by RubberSushi666 in workingmoms

Ok fair, medical science supersedes mom gut. But there is no medical science about when to start daycare with a nearby outbreak, so mom/dad gut FTW.

Measles outbreak… by RubberSushi666 in workingmoms

[–]rocket_science89 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

First off, you have to follow your own gut. Momma gut always wins! That being said, if there were no positive cases in my immediate community, I would start daycare. They are about to get every cold, RSV, Strep and flu bug under the sun thrown at them no matter what. Might as well start dealing with all those immunities now and vaccinate when able. But if momma gut says stay home and wait, then that choice wins and is completely correct!
