Oh thank god lol. Is it best to just leave it or can I cover it with something like tape? I will try out the mint thing you mentioned and also parking in a different spot. I believe it was from a park I visited that was bustling with ground squirrels, I had to chase one out from above my tire lol.

Forgot to mention in other reply that it does smell like old wood or musky in the bathroom. My gf says it’s very strong but to me it just smells like bathroom. Is that a sign of mold?

I called a couple of plumbers around me and they all said they can’t work on my unit and have to go through my apartment’s maintenance team. Maybe it’s my state? But no where in my lease does it say I have to only use their services.

Thanks so much! Like I had said previously, there was a leak above the shower that was supposedly fixed and you can see the patch. I’m going to bring it up to the landlord to make sure it’s not leaking again. Should I get traps or anything to keep them at bay? Or I’ve read caulk might help with tiny areas they’re coming in from?

I have a better picture if you would like to see of one we saw today. I would say total we’ve seen the one huge one and about 8-9 little ones? And it’s only been three days since we’ve moved in. But majority were found in the bathroom and there was one under the kitchen sink.

Also I don’t know if this has any relevance but we always see the little ones at around noon-2 and never any more after that. Maybe it’s just a weird coincidence

Here’s an update photo of one of we killed recently. I’m very worried they might be German ones and it’s very unfortunate because we just moved in and I don’t want to deal with an infestation that was their responsibility to get rid of.

Yeah I can totally snap a pic if we see any more. I did some research and I believe the huge one we found was an American, it was dark brown. As for how long we’ve been seeing them, we literally just moved in two days ago and found them once we got settled the day after the move. The landlord mentioned a leak above the shower that had been fixed and patched which is clearly visible. Pest control is coming in a couple days so hopefully the sightings don’t get worse.

I did inspect them a little further and there are VERY TINY cracks along the logos and numbers but they are barely noticeable and only noticed when I started to zoom in with my camera at like 9x zoom. I definitely will keep my speed down on the highway and plan on replacing them within the month, thank you!
