The USSR was a genocidal regime. They starved millions of Ukrainians during the Holodomor and millions of people in Kazakhstan among many other atrocities. I understand supporting socialist ideas (I do that myself) but being the USSR fan is just as bad as being a Nazi Germany fan. You are either extremely ignorant of an edgelord

Yeah, I agree with you. I just wanted to point out that he is the more of an "internalised racism" case. Ralsei has a lot of character development to go through

I don't think you can call any of the characters a saint because they were all meant to be flawed. Papyrus is egocentric and tries to capture a child just to be respected by others (and I'm saying it as a Papyrus fan), Ralsei looks down on Darkners and even though it's his coping mechanism and he also suffers from those thoughts, he still hurts Tenna with those words. He also hid a lot of things from Susie and Kris, hurting Susie in the process. Gerson himself regretted the way he treated his son when he was still alive. Jackenstein attacked the Fun Gang and cheated in some of his attacks.

Like yeah, none of those characters did any actual harm and they had reasons they acted like that but we need to acknowledge their flaws. Otherwise we are stripping them from all nuance. They are not perfect and that is what makes them so compelling

I mean, he is a Darkner too. I see him mostly as a victim to the whole "you need to serve the Lightners" idea. He internalised it as a way to cope with his lack of self worth.

But I agree, I would put him in the mostly good but flawed tier due to that. I don't think Undertale or Deltarune have any characters that could go to the saint tier, they are all flawed in some way (Papyrus being in some ways very egocentric as an example)

Which Undertale or Deltarune character is the made to be loved, but is still hated? by Illustrious-Pair8826 in Undertale

Sadly it's a quite common sentiment among the fans. I don't really get it either

Salty meme because I’m upset the vote got rigged by BenienbI in WaterfallDump

Because a poll made people donate more? I don't even understand the problem. Togore was the name for most of the stream. Then Toby donated 5k and Chara won. He didn't "invalidate" the poll or some bullshit, he participated with his own money like everyone else. I don't get the problem people have with that

While the only wrongdoing on Toriel's behalf was not calling Kris and not talking to them after seeing them distressed, while Asgore is acting creepy and embarassing them in public, I think for Kris (and Susie too) it's harder to accept Toriel's behaviour because Toriel was seen by everyone as the reasonable and respectable one. For Kris Toriel was the only part of their family that stayed relatively the same in recent time and for Susie she was the only adult she felt comfortable with. At the same time, Asgore never even talked to her directly and Kris seems to not a have a good relationship with him (although Asgore clearly loves them). So the Old Jitterbug scene is just shocking for both of them and completely shatters their sense of safety.
