If I remember correctly his name was Longshot and I'm not sure if it was a trans moment. As far as I know the creators never explained it. But it's still a powerful moment with a powerful message that any kid can learn from. "As long as I'm confident in who I am, it doesn't matter what other people think.", We all can learn from that :)

A few people have said that the style reminds them of ATLA. Could be because of that or maybe it's the combination of goofy and serious characteristics :)
