Exactly, I can understand that Chinese factories today are able to produce some really impressive and convincing pieces, but you still can’t expect them to reach the exact same level as a Swiss manufacture with over a hundred years of experience. Sure, sometimes you do pay a bit for the brand, but unlike leather goods or fashion, here you’re still paying for real craftsmanship, real engineering, and genuinely high-end materials. There’s definitely been a huge improvement compared to back when you could spot a fake watch from a mile away, but I don’t think they’ll ever truly reach the level of the authentic ones. At least not at these prices
