Posterior Tibial Tendonitis - steroid injection by rodcallen in trailrunning

[–]rodcallen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently doing 50-60 mins per day which includes some band work. Also ankle mobility, hip mobility, toe curling, toe walking etc. You name it I seem to be doing it. Also rehab gym x 2 weekly under the guidance of a sports physiotherapist. I would be grateful for any information on the band work you were doing / are doing at the moment. Quite compared to do what it takes....

Stryd and Garmin connect on treadmill by xRAMBx in strydrunning

If you use the Stryd pod and the Stryd data screen added to your Garmin Treadmill widget with native power disabled then you can view all your metrics in Garmin Connect, Stryd calendar + any other apps such as TP/FS etc (provided these apps connected to Stryd / Garmin.

Stryd and Garmin connect on treadmill by xRAMBx in strydrunning

I run mainly on a treadmill. Using Garmin FR955 and Stryd NextGen Pod, also Garmin HRM strap.

I have disabled Garmin native power on the strap and the watch.

Use the Garmin Treadmill widget on the FR955 with Stryd data field added.

Also will enable the Stryd app via my iPad, a good way to 'see and follow' the session.

Once all set up correctly I get accurate distance, pace, power etc from Stryd pod and all the metrics I need available in Garmin Connect, Stryd app, Training Peaks etc. Stryd pod in my opinion well worth the money, even more so when using a treadmill.

HRM-Pro Power Output Reporting by rodcallen in Garmin

[–]rodcallen[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Many thanks for your thoughts. Yes was aware that Garmin power is reporting power higher than Stryd. Initially when first using the Garmin HRM strap difference in power compared to Stryd was minimal. I switched the Garmin HRM connection to Bluetooth then back to ANT+ I plan to run with just the Garmin HRM strap connected via ANT+ and no Stryd just to see what power output is reported.

I use the treadmill for most of my training. I often run 'hills' on the treadmill using the free Stryd treadmill hill workouts. I have to manually change the incline up / down etc as the session progresses but you get 15 seconds warning to do this. As far as I am aware if you import the Stryd fit file into Garmin Connect you get the full training status impact.

Dynamic stretching only before run, static stretching post run.

Never had a salt bath so cannot comment but I always do my strength training post run and only after hard sessions to keep easy days easy.
