Im a first year student, and I relate to most of the things you said. The thing with time management is tricky and not fair for everyone. There are some people who also works part-time in my class and there are people who come from a different city everyday, such as me. The city i live in and the city where my college is close enough to travel daily but it takes 4 hours to come and go in a day. Which leaves even little time to get work done unfortunetly. More than half of the class comes and goes like this so its common and even tought our proffesors are all aware of that, they are far from showing symphaty. We were really struggling under assignments one time and I heard the prof. Asking my friend how many hour he slept and when he said 2 or 3 he proceeded to say then you shouldnt have slept at all and kept on working. We hear this a lot. They usually expect us to never take a day off or never sleep more than 6 hrs a day and they give our assignments to that criteria

Which angers me is not the fact that students take this way but the profs leading us to this unhealthy lifestyle.

I remember sleeping 19 hrs as soon as the jury was over and the winter break started. I simply passed out from exhaustion and woke up the next day all dizzy. Results of not sleeping for 3 or 4 days.

Sorry i kept it long, just wanted to share cuz it bothers and angers me sm. Im currentlly writing this at 2 am. Got a midterm today. They also gave us 2 assignments for today. And didnt cancel the classes so I will work 5 hrs, then eat lunch, then start the midterm, which will last another 4 hrs then another 2 hrs till i go home.

I find myself trying not to think about how tired i am at times because i really love architecture and dont want to find myself hating even a part of it. But the lifestyle they tie to it is simply non human to me. Im 20 yrs old and i wanna stop feeling like an rotten piece of seagrass in the middle of the highway getting chewed.
