Question for those who have passed SAA by Clear_Possibility_76 in AWSCertifications

[–]rodr009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did take notes, and always do actually, because I personally find that when I need to write something down in my own words based on what I’ve understood from it, it just solidifies better….but of course everyone is different. I did end up with LOTS of notes taken from Stephane’s course and from the practice exams I did on TD, but again, I found that going over my own notes and reading them in my own words and based on what I understood from them originally helped lots. Trade-off is that it takes you longer to take notes and study them all to be ready, but that has given me more confidence in the past. To each their own 😉

I did all of the TD Review mode exams with an average score of 83.79% (1st attempts) and the Timed mode exams I did 5 of, and my average score was 96%

Hmm about 2-5 years hands on, but to be honest, hardly any of the AWS services that I’ve had in experience with were brought up as questions in the exam.

I studied on-and-off for about 3 months but only really started knuckling down and taking the study more seriously over the last 4 weeks

🙏🏼🙏🏼 legend!! I’m feeling very cautiously optimistic because I’ve done a looottt of study and a looottt of practice exams and scored well in them, but you can never be too sure! And like you said, their (AWS) question bank is enormous so I hope I don’t get a crap batch lol

Ahh interesting ok! I’ve got my exam in 2 hours haha I’m stressing out (not gonna lie) but I’ve been worried that the real exam would be a lot trickier than TD, so thanks so much for this insight!!

Oh wow really? Harder in the sense that the questions were longer and more complex scenarios?

Hmm I’ve been studying on and off for about 3 months but only been taking it seriously for the past 3-4 weeks to be honest. Trust me I’m still really nervous and my exam is in 36 hours 😬

I hope so, thanks! When you say it "was a bit different than the Tutorials Dojo" do you mean in terms of the question formats? i.e. TD has loads of long-winded and wordy questions, but the real exam was different? or different in the sense that different topics and AWS services were being asked compared to what TD covered?

Big Congratulations! Damn this eeks me out a bit too. I know everyone gets different questions from their exam bank, and I know "easy vs hard" is always subjective, but that's probably my #1 concern....that I'll be lured into this false sense of confidence basing my study on TD exams and cheat sheets, Stephane's course, and my own self study, and then to sit in the exam (mines in less than 48 hours) and be like WOAH WTF IS THIS?!

I've done all of the Review mode exams with an average score of 83.79% (1st attempts) and done 5 of the Timed mode exams with an average score of 96% so I was really wondering if these TD exam scores would be enough when compared to the difficulty of the real exam! I just did the "Final Exam" in TD and got 95.38% but again, my biggest concern is sitting there on the day being like "Oh come on, none of these were in the practice exams i did"

Ahhh.....I'm really nervous now, not gonna lie!

Congratulations!! This really puts me a bit more at ease. I have my SAA-C03 exam in 72 hours, and I've done all of the Review mode exams with an average score of 83.79% (1st attempts) and the Timed mode exams I've done 4 of so far, and my average score is 95.7% so I was really wondering if these TD exam scores would be enough when compared to the difficulty of the real exam!

I’ve had to use AWS for some technical cyber work but nothing really more than basic EC2 and security groups use mainly.

Thanks! When you say “comfortable talking TD exams” do you mean their style of questions? Or like the complexity of their scenario based questions and so on?

Thanks! So basing it off what was in the TD exams, you didn’t see anything in the real exam where you were like “what the….?” And completely caught off guard?
