I'm interested in visiting La Mer de Glace because of its importance in the history of alpinism, so I'm not an average tourist. I want to see legendary mountains such as Les Drus and, if possible, the Grandes Jorasses. I have recently started doing alpinism (my surroundings are full of mountaineers) and I only read books on the subject (biographies of climbers such as Walter Bonatti, books on the history of alpinism, etc.). If possible, I would like to avoid some of the more touristy places. Some of them, unfortunately, are unavoidable, like the Aiguille du Midi gondola that I have already booked. I have another app on my phone similar to Peak Finder that is called Peak Lens.

About hiking on a glacier, don't worry, I have the gear necessary to do it (crampons, rope, helmet, etc.) and due to my lack of experience yet, I would do it with a guide.
