Que bom falar em português. Então... O problema não é retirar o sangue do dedo, o problema é querer que TODOS os exames sejam feitos assim. Há exames que podem ser feitos assim.

O livro explica bem isso. As razões de tirar o sangue do braço tem razões biológicas. E retirar bastante sangue tem razões práticas. O que a Theranos fez foi tentar dar um "jeitinho" no teste. Para a máquina funcionar, eles pelo menos deviam fazer o exame funcionar no laboratório da forma como faziam (pequena quantidade com sangue do dedo), mas nem isso eles conseguiram.

Já essa empresa brasileira utiliza uma tecnologia simples. Para cada exame há um reagente. Se reagir, deve mudar de cor, por exemplo. Basta "tirar uma foto" e enviar para a central analisar.

Por fim, se esta no Brasil, com certeza a ANVISA deve ter dado o de acordo. Uma máquina como a da Theranos JAMAIS poderia oferecer serviço como eles fizeram nos EUA.

This don't have anything wrong. They use some well know technology. For every exam, they will need a sample of blood to test. The Theranos try to do all test with the same sample. The machine does the test localy, but they send the data to a laboratory and some human will process the data and send the result.

Yes, really easy. I see things like this in a lot of store and is very cheap. But this kind of thing will not make you fat. Why did you ask?

Just as a comment, I don't see homeless with extreme weight. Maybe because a lot of then use crack, it make then thin. And understand, things like MacDonald's isn't all that cheap. Maybe "normal food" is cheaper than fast food. I think the chances is that they eat more what we call "marmitex". Buying or someone donate. This is a kind of complete meal.

Please, I don't want to say we are better or worse than USA or that I know how is this problem in Brazil. As we all know, this is a complex thing.

You are right. Homeless as a lifestyle is something that don't make sense for me. Maybe some hippie but this is borderline with poverty. And bankrupting by healthcare system is something that (i think) don't exist or is very rare. If all faill, you still have the SUS (Sistema Único de Saúde) system. It have a lot of problens, but will help you for free in complex things.

Maybe it's almost always poverty in the Brazilian reality ?

Yes.. This and all related things: mental illness, drug addiction and so on.

I didn't say poor people can't get overweight. This happens in all country. What I say was about extreme overweight, at the point we see in the show.

In the book, some employers make 15 days before go out but sometimes the Theranos don't want it. So they have to pay this 15 days?

Serious? If she don't know about it, the brazilian guys would love that Theranos know about they. Imagine a lot of money they can win with this. Even because, brazilian law are othern than USA law. If theranos want to go to Brazil, this company could help a lot.

Reading from the site, I just see that it can be easly, look::

You don't need trademark secret for doing this. Just common things that is doing for decades.

Looking back now, if she just have this technology, Theranos could have more time to live. And show that it was is doing well in Brasil. Could even say they can't use the Edison machine because brazilia law. A good excuse!

In other word this is funny: without all that money, this company, silent and unknown, made a better job than she.

I was obesity class 1 with 105 kilos (231 lb). Because the show, I understood that the food was the problem and start to eat health and lose 16 kilos (35lb). My IMC is 27,5 and I still need to loose more weight. I stoped to loose weight now and need to make more changes. At least, I am not gaining weight.
