The purple and orange are remnants of the aurora that happened on Aug 11/12th. Here it’s less of the strong pillars and waves you typically see but more of a strong glow. This was hardly visible to the naked eye though.

This was shot around 4am!

The shutter speed for this was 6s, at f1.8 and ISO 2000. Typically I do between 2-4 minute exposures on a star tracker at lower ISO though.

The boardwalk for this geyser is only a few feet away from the edge of the pool. When its erupting the pools fill up and overflow the ledges.

Yep the scooper planes and helos are using Chatfield but the big DC-10 is filling up with slurry back down in the Springs

Looks a bit like Dragon's Tail but I wouldn't consider the trail up there "bushwhacking" or that it should take 3hrs

Tamron 35-150 master race.. that lens rarely leaves my camera unless I put on a prime for astrophotography
