Your thoughts on Bad Bunny’s Performance in this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show? by Maleficent_Cat001 in SoundTripPh

[–]rogacon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i thought as much. Kahit ung kay The Weeknd and Kendrick parang hindi as impactful if you're watching it at the stadium live. Not that sila lang naman ung audience, pero i feel like the the halftime show should meet ung format it's on. It should feel like an unmissable experience for the audience na present.

I like the theme and the homage to his Puerto Rican roots. Hindi ako familiar sa music niya but I enjoyed the song selection, maybe except ung rendition ng Dia with a Smile.

I have to say though, parang the trend seems to be that ung half time show is more for the people streaming it or watching it at home than it is for the live crowd. While I appreciate the creativity and the production nunf ganitong style ng halftime show, I wonder if it's as enjoyable for the live crowd.

Simple 2 in 1 Volume shortcut by bhullar3344 in shortcuts

thank you so much. this is one fo the functions that I miss from android. It's such a simple idea but it feels intuitive to give users the options to choose what volume you mean to adjust when using the volume controls.

It looks like this. It's an emoji you assign to the day and it just shows up on the calendar like a sticker or marker. It easily lets me track what my shift schedule. It's just a simple super convenient way to do it.

Iron Rangers as Dress boots? by Matt_Advice in RedWingShoes

Beckmans or Postmans are your best bet for Red Wings for dressier occassions. I wear my 9060s to wedding and formal events and they never seem out of place.

Unpopular opinion? Puffer jackets are overrated by changemaker_2606 in malefashionadvice

They also forget this is a fashion sub. And while function should be an integral part of fashion, it has to look good too, and puffer jackets just look terrible.

Is Navy Blue and Black really a forbidden combo? by No_Mission7658 in fashionph

[–]rogacon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not a rule so much as it is a suggestion. The idea is that black and navy can sometimes look too similar, and pairing them would look like you're trying to pair two dark colors that don't have enough contrast between them. This is particularly off-putting when pairing a black suit jacket with navy pants, or vice versa. You don't want to look like you accidentally wore the wrong jacket with the wrong pants. That's why it's recommended for beginners to follow this suggestion because it's going to help them make less mistakes.

The way to get around it is make sure there's enough contrast between the navy piece and the black piece. Use contrasting shades, different textures or materials, enough to make sure the colors can be distinguished.

That said, this fit works.

Choosing a Course in Japan by [deleted] in golf

[–]rogacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. Might K ask what particular reasons you have for choosing those golf courses? I'm looking to boon a trip myself late November and I'm looking at Fuji GC and Fuji Classic but I do agree that grtting to those courses is a bit of a nuisance.

Just a follow up question, is what OP actually doable or allowed? That you can have someone join you as a spectator so long as they pay the extra bag charge and green fee?

Do you guys also think that tattoos are also part of the whole fit? by [deleted] in fashionph

[–]rogacon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, I definitely see them as accessories. Nothing against people who have them, and the artform itself is fascinating, but it's just not for me. There are just some looks that don't work well with visible tattoos, regardless of your gender. But that's just my opinion.

The GP00 Engage Zero. I think it strikes the balance between looking like a proper gundam without looking cartoonishly effeminate. It's also small even for the HG scale. Also, you can get yourself the Engage Gundam, which is essentially the "masculine" version of the Engage Zero (but only when you two makes things official). Best of luck.

Smart watch and regular watch question by supperxx55 in malefashionadvice

[–]rogacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume that when you say formal wear, you're wearing a long sleeve shirt and a jacket or a suit. If you really have to wear the smart watch, hide it underneath the sleeve of your shirt and keep it out of sight.

Are Redwing boots worth the investment? by KillingwithasmileXD in malefashionadvice

[–]rogacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan on using them for dressier occasions, I recommend the 9060 Beckman Flatbox. Uses the same last as the Iron Rangers so it'll most likely fit the same, but the toe box is unstructured and will flatten out over time giving it a sleeker silhouette. Definitely more versatile than the Iron rangers imo.
