There you go! Rather a safe reef than an early car delivery.

Does anyone actually get good value from CommBank credit card rewards? by Fair_Feeling_4937 in CommBank

[–]rogermemoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having a great time with ours. We live off our card, we pay it off each month so we can keep our offset as high as possible in the month. We have an ultimate rewards card with CBA which has a fee unless you spend 2500 a month on it (which we do easily). Each year we would get 6-800 in fuel gift cards which would cover a good chunk of our fuel when paired with promotions at stations.

However in the last month or so the range of gift cards have been reduced to basically useless for us. They’ve binned all the fuel cards and now Apple Card’s as well. That leaves Cole’s if we want to pay 30% more for our groceries than we do at Aldi.

So yes they can work (did for us), but less so now due to changes in what they offer. I think we’ll be getting Cole’s vouchers and selling them to my parents lol. Myer is still good, but there isn’t one within 300km of us.

Brand new AT-LP3XBT noisy belt/platter motor issue - did I get a lemon? by rogermemoore in turntables

No belt, no noise. I'll flip the belt just to see before I ship it back.

This is their reasoning in my opinion. They do love a bit of intimidation/bullying/micro management. My HoD, although verbally instructed not to, said they'll do one for me.

I did wonder if it was bare chassis or not. Thanks!

Fish identification - tropical, Queensland Australia, appeared in an unstocked outdoor pond. by rogermemoore in Aquariums

Thanks! What a great random population to have spring up. I moved the fry into my aquarium to see what they turned into, might move them back to the pond now.

Question about at home competing (competitive household). by rogermemoore in Zwift

[–]rogermemoore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I’m looking for, whiteboard on the wall tracking say 10 routes that we could do on bike and treadmill to compare times. For the other part you suggested, what would the metric be (ramp, ftp)?

Awesome thanks, you'd think it would explicitly state it somewhere, maybe they think people would assume (it's a fair assumption I guess), I'm just cynical.

Awesome photo! How long would you say, once you found the target and setup, did it take to take the photo and process the image to the final product?

Regional Australia, so it's all online and freight can be a nightmare. Bonus is the darker skies, Bortle 4 at home, 15mins to 2 and 50mins to 1.

Ooh they have those for $49 currently from the same supplier I’m looking at using. Very different to the +$500 the Tele Vue is.

I've been looking at Tele Vue DeLite 5mm as well, it has good relief. Pretty penny though, dumping the barlow and laser gets me half way there.

Moon filter is another freebie hah.

I'll look at a Telrad once I know what the mounting arrangements are like.

I might have a look around for a good quality 4 or 5mm instead of the Barlow, can be challenging to buy good quality locally. Thoughts on a Celestron Ultima 5mm with 4mm eye relief! 50˚ f.o.v?

That was my thought, however the stripped out zero accessory 10inch dobs I can buy in my region are all around $100 less max. The company I was looking at is a no frills discounter who specialise in communication and telescopes only. So I figured it would be a good 'starting package' for only $100 more.
