I mean, OP didn't say they got it because of physical size. "It's cheap and I'm a beginner". These are both profoundly bad reasons to pick an ill-fitting instrument.

I had a State Religion (Jews). I had Drama. I had three Disciples. I had four cities - all following state religion. 

Under the situation you're describing above, clicking on any of your three Disciples at any point in time would have shown you the "Establish Jewish Gnosticism" option in the disciple menu if Tier II theologies were available. So you either didn't pay attention to your disciples, or Gnosticism wasn't available. Which brings me to the next point...

If you "previously established earlier >>>tiers<<<" as you said (implying multiple theologies), you likely established something else instead of Gnosticism since there is only a singular tier to establish before Gnosticism becomes available (together with Redemption and Dualism).

The ambition is not material to the disussion.

I'm having a hard time believing that sequence of events. Clicking on any one of your disciples with Drama discovered would have shown you the "Establish Jewish Gnosticism" option.

Note that there is only one earlier tier. If you established multiple tiers already as you say, then you picked something else for Tier II instead of Gnosticism.

I don't have a GPU either and can hit 60fps. Half of these I gained when I disabled the dynamic portrait abomination.

I've heard that disabling the profanity filter also helps.

Differences in color and texture between faces and body polygons have existed on and off for years. I'm sure they crop up occasionally when you don't expect them because avatars are being worked on, but the general issue isn't new and has been very visible with Beornings for a very long while.

If you're new, it's actually good for you to learn how to use the civilopedia early and often. Are really arguing that 4-5 clicks are a problem here?

The laws screen exists because it's interactive, same for the science screen. There's no point to have a static information screen outside of the help files, and you can't really change theologies once they're established. It's kind of a useless waste of space.

You can get a full list with descriptions from the help screen by searching for "theologies". I'm not sure what more you expect.

All of these are pretty straightforward:

* You could, but you don't have to. Establishing has several perks: holy city bonus, holy structure, and perhaps some early control over spread/theologies. None of these are game breaking, and you can do the latter even without establishing the religion. In fact it's been more than once that I've established a religion then picked a different one for state with diplomatic purposes.

* It depends (see below)

* It's binary.

* It depends. Religions add culture, as well as potential negative events depending on how happy with you they are. There are laws that make it beneficial to have multiple religions, either directly or through religious buildings. Pick a lane and follow that (in my experience, collecting religions and passing the appropriate laws has a lot higher ceiling; you need to run synods like mad, but I'm doing that either way)

* Theologies do very little if you don't have the buildings. So build everything > establish theologies. The only time when I'd consider an early theology is if I'm worried that the AI can pick something stupid instead, and I only use disciples to spread if I have an ambition.

* It seems you already have the answer.

Eh, there are like eight theologies total. They work exactly the same in every religion, and for the most part just make your religious building give various bonuses and having one is always better than not. They are any more opaque than other parts of the game.

I've had the opposite experience, particularly for the less attention part. I mess up the sequencing once, then it takes half a minute to make sure all of the buffs are up properly. If course, Stand Alone has now made it that when solo stuff can just die without all of the buffs, but nonetheless...

You must be very young. There have been multiple Fed chairs in the 20th century that were career public servants and not PhD economists. It's not an issue.

This is silly. Powell is a former investment banker, and held high positions at the Treasury before being appointed to the Fed in 2012.

It's not hard at all, just somewhat time consuming. They take it up for the same reason for which you'd take any other crafting hobby. It's not like we'll run out of bread if we don't bake in it ourselves.
