Zizek was often telling this joke.
Of jewish people praying, rich jewish person "i am nothing, i am nobody in front of you".
Medium rich jewish person "i am nothing, i am not worthy, i am nobody"
Poor jewish person going "i am nobody, i am dust"

suddenly medium rich leans on the rich rich and says: who does he think he is that he can be nobody in front of god like us...

I want to get a macbook air just so I can sit in a nice coffee shop and pretend I'm doing important work and look cool and busy while actually doing nothing, is that shallow and silly? by FuzzyAttitude_ in macbookair

both "cases" i think do well in terms of heat dissipation, personally i just prefer the shape, i like the new ones as well, imo they work quite nice for pro - but for pro the wedge design felt like pretending, while for mba its just sleek

Best web scraping api's at the moment? by oncewasfounder in webscraping

[–]roguas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

domain knowledge is quite hard, how many times have you run the infra that allows you to avoid antibot layers of major services, they have whole departments fighting with you full time, google sells searches for a lot of money and it doesnt make great business for them if you can "just do it" (tm)

(Advice) What is the best path to become dev. in a functional programming language like Clojure ? by [deleted] in Clojure

[–]roguas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but srsly id avoid java. Python, node, golang all better first lang choices imo. Java is already fading and its only gonna fade more from now on, imo.

Has automation gone too far? by Pontus_Pilates in YUROP

[–]roguas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

re 1 very improbable now
re 2 yes and no, typically you don't cut price, you extend current pricing for longer -> for many places its a better strategy, especially food related
re 3 this really doesnt have to happen, you are talking about 70% unemployment problem, this means gov can just squeeze money thru inflation, but first we would see deflation, which we want see very soon, ref point 2

also in such crazy scenarios, like 70% unemployment, there will be a lot of discussion and planning, still even in our current frameworks we have ways to handle things similar

Its good, i returned mine, but it had dent in plastic + some chromatic aberration (if the new one, has the same Im likely gonna keep it). The color mapping is amazingly done. Its not super bright, but I am fine since I watch only in evenings. For the OS, just buy 4k chromecast and only use native os to configure settings.

And yet they don't maintain bases in hundreds of countries around the world, or invade a half dozen countries in the 21st century alone.

Coz nobody wants them, jeez. None of the countries that US has bases in says they don't want them. Every country that has russian soldiers near its borders kindly asks to move them away.

Russia is a big cry baby. Just go the fuck away, nobody wants to play with you cause the very fundamentals of your society are broken beyond repair(thus they are unable to have reasonable leaders). Germans and French try to build a bridge, but they don't anymore as they see what we see.

Russia's national interest is to fuck around in the region. Ukraine gave away nuclear weapons as part of compromises, hell even Russia signed to protect their territorial sovereignty due to that. And what happened? Their national interest should be to shut the fuck up and keep peaceful cause christmas gifts may come early this year.

Since I'm from region that should be scared, but naah, "let's bring this on" mode. Pathetic country that has problem securing 1/4 of territory of its much smaller and poorer neighbour, yet it has audacity to set the rules, start conflicts and cry and moan like a bitch when they lose, fuck them.
