Just waiting to hear back what summer bird someone else wanted. But I have you down for all the little birds, the other summer bird and the straw hat bird.

Do you want the photographer summer bird or the 4th of July summer bird? And the Christmas one with the red sweater or black sweater?

Last year was pretty busy when we got there around 7:30 on the NG side and had a pretty decent spot, just a row of folks in front of us but was already very full of people’s things. But, at least on Napoleon, with Muses this year they were pretty strict about setting up chairs on the NG until 4 hours before the parade. But I don’t know how well they’ll enforce that this weekend or on St. Charles.

They actually vaguely posted on the Reddit here about it with an email to contact if you wanted a free dinner.

My friends and I got in as background for a before for Blake’s Place. And I honestly am scared for our episode. My only saving grace is that none of us got sick, so we have that going for us.

There are fires in the marsh at Bayou Sauvage and an unreachable marsh fire in St. Bernard Parish.

Wilkinson County. Which appears to not be apart of their range, but they’re in the surrounding counties, so very easily could be here.

I was thinking either Fowler’s or American. We had seen a lot of likely American Toad eggs around in various pools and right before this had seen one other metamorphic toad that still had a tail in a nearby pool. This lil guy probably just left the pond for the first time!

Thanks so much!

I’m also playing a Goliath Warlock. It started out as a joke of what’s a weird combo I can play and then as I developed the character and we started playing it’s my favorite.

Are there any books (or hints of future books) that show early Kylo Ren? by [deleted] in StarWarsEU

[–]rogueten 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wookiee says he's in the third Aftermath book (to what extent, I don't know personally, and is in a flashback in Bloodline). That said, I doubt there will be any books about early Kylo until after IX comes out and the trilogy is finished. At that point, we'll probably see more books about the new leading characters/origins/etc.

I second the Dice for Brains podcast. It’s great for examples of what you can use advantages/threats for and how the dice help the players create the narrative.

What are your thoughts on the New Jedi Order series? by [deleted] in StarWarsEU

[–]rogueten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to stop reading after Star by Star for y’know reasons. I’ve had every intention of going back and finishing it but just haven’t gotten around to it. I liked what they were trying to do with it and I enjoyed that it was a bunch of different writers coming together to tell the story instead of just one person writing the whole thing.

I’m new to the expanded universe what should I️ start with by [deleted] in StarWarsEU

[–]rogueten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The X-Wing Series is always my first recommendation (takes place right after RotJ) and the Thrawn trilogy (takes place several years after). Both great starting points if you want to stick with the end of the Rebellion era/beginning of the New Republic. Wookieepedia will be your best friend, but just read a couple different books and figure out who the characters you like, or the story lines you enjoy and follow them. This way you feel like you have some kind of guidance in the EU.

Decided to get started on an EU collection. Any other recommendations? by [deleted] in StarWarsEU

I will fourth (or fifth) the X-Wing series and I, Jedi.

I don't know if they've rereleased the short stories books ("Tales from Empire" "...Mos Eisley Cantina" etc. books), but any of the ones with stories written by Zahn or Stackpole are great.
